Editorial Review for Queeny County Park – by Krishna Knabe
Facilities
Queeny Park is home to the Greensfelder Recreation Complex and the AKC's Museum of the Dog (usually referred to as simply the Dog Museum), plus several picnic areas, trails, lakes for fishing and equestrian courses. And don't forget the hayrides! Hour-long hayrides complete with an after-ride picnic can be arranged by calling (636) 458-0271. The rides are offered year-round for a fee of $125 per wagon (each wagon holds 20 people).
Activities
The nearly seven miles of park trails are open for walking, biking, cross country skiing and horseback riding. Fishing is allowed in the park's lakes, but you must follow posted rules. (Call 636-391-3474 for more fishing info.) The equestrian courses feature jumps, fences, water areas, etc. Queeny doesn't have horses for rent, though.

i grew up across the street from queeny, in a neighborhood that shares its name. the miles of walking and biking trails, the lakes with migratory geese and birds, and the dog museum make it a place worth visiting. although it isn't one of the largest parks in the area, it sure beats having to drive twenty minutes to forest park and then having to find a parking spot. oh, i almost forgot the ice rink, swimming pool, tennis courts, and kick-butt playground! gotta love it. :)
