Novak's Bar & Grill. The bar has bad service and the food is terrible and overpriced. I ordered three seperate appetizers and paid over $15. I got 2 chicken fingers, about 5 tiny cheese sticks (about 2 inches long) and alledged sweet potato fries. The cheese sticks were suppose to be pepper jack, but I am pretty sure they were provel and flavorless. The sweet potato fries did not really taste like sweet potatoes. I think they were just colored oranged to look like sweet potatoes. I will never eat there again.

Totally relaxed yet a lot of fun!. My girlfriend and I are very new to the scene and I find other's reviews so helpful so I thought I would start returning the favor :)

This place is great. Descent prices ($3 per beer) and so much to watch and do.

There are games in the back room ? pool, darts & shuffleboard.

The dance floor is kind of odd spaced out in a couple different places but everyone seems to dance around their tables or where ever they happen to be standing =). The DJ is great and plays ?move your butt? type songs all night long.

The drag shows are great ? supposed to run @ 9 but usually start later. Sitting at the end of the bar will give you the best view. And the ladies in the show are incredible! Th host is just hysterical.

The patio is just OMG fantastic. There is an outdoor bar and the staff is awesome. Loads of space and table sand it?s decorated very well ? lots of plants and its quiet so it?s a nice place to get to know someone so you can actually hear what they are saying!

Highly recommended for all orientations.

Novaks Drag-n-fries!. When you call make sure you talk to the owner or at least a person who understands the schedule of events. More than once I have been wanting to see drag how and the person on the other end of the phone told me that a band was playing and there would be no show. Then I find out that there was a show. Get with the program OPRAH!!!

On the other side of the coin, they have the best sweet potatoe fries in the U.S. Believe me. I have been abroad and they are still better here. Their patio is also a great place to hang out. You can escape the music for a chat and a beer at the patio bar.

This casual hangout is a great place to catch the game or a concert.. The Scene


One of the more relaxed gay and lesbian spots in town, Novak's hosts a lot of events, including a regular schedule of bands and performers. And if you're a sports fan, you're in luck. Novak's will give you drink specials during or after most local major league games.

The Food
The kitchen's open until midnight, so if you've got a late-night craving for good bar food, head here. Burgers, salads and "munchies" fill out the menu. The foo foo burger--with cheddar cheese, jalapeno peppers and grilled onions--is really good with a beer. The quesadillas, nachos and chili-cheese fries all hit the spot after a few rounds.

I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.. Wed nights are the absloute best at this bar. Make sure to swing by to see the dancers! And don't be a tight-wad, tip the ladies! DJ is pretty good as well. Good food, good drinks, great people. Make sure to check this place out when your in town.

Novak's Wednesdays. Wednesdays at Novaks is the best... hot dancers on the bar on Wed & Fri's, Cool (not rude) bartenders & Absolutely the BEST bar food in st. louis. A great time, no doubt.
