Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Excellent Chef!. When the appetizer of barbeque shrimp came out, I knew we were in for an outstanding meal. It was very flavorful, spicy, and cooked to just the right texture, as well as being served with bread that literally just came out of the oven. It was refreshing to eat a meal out cooked by someone who is unafraid to spice it up. The flavors and textures all complimented each other very well. The New York Strip steak ordered by my husband was cooked to the exact right medium-done that he had asked for. My grilled swordfish was just flaky enough to melt in my mouth while still being firm enough to present well on my plate. The flavor was perfectly contrasted by a bed of garlic and cheese spaghetti. All the dishes were very visually attractive and delicious. The price is right in line with what you expect to pay at a 4 star restaurant, and there were no surprises on the bill. All the help seemed very cheerful and our glasses were always filled before we thought about it. There was also a show kitchen that was very interesting to watch as we ate. The lighting was well done to add to the atmosphere, and it took me about 1/2 an hour to realize there was music playing because it blended so well into the mood. It was not too loud to talk but also not so quite that it was awkward. We will definitely be returning to the Clark Street Grill and recommending it to anyone looking for true fine dining.

This upscale restaurant in the Westin hotel offers fine food in a problematic environment.. The Scene
California modern meets industrial cool in this oversized space. Several huge concrete pillars break up the room in a very distracting way; getting to booths and enjoying the view of Busch Stadium can be difficult, thanks to these monstrosities. The exposed ductwork, light fixtures on tension wires, and expanses of blond wood and stainless steel work well, though. Of course, the suited patrons seem far too involved in their business meetings to notice any of this.

The Food
During lunch, the menu is focused, and the kitchen hits several notes well. Duck confit and lobster show up in several delicious dishes. Several hearty sandwiches (including a miso veggie burger for vegetarians) come with homemade sweet potato chips and warm (not wilted) spinach salad. The dinner menu swings more toward fussy fusion dishes, and the service and timing inconsistencies are more apparent then as well.
