Beautiful gardens with interesting, varied exhibits.
As a visitor, I went to the Gardens every other visit. As a resident, I probably will go at least twice a year. So far I've attended the Orchid Exhibit and Cake Exhibit; I'm returning next month to just enjoy the outdoors.
There are concerts held here as well. The Japanese Gardens are peaceful and strolling through is not only good for your body but for your mind as well. This place is simply beautiful and wonderful for both families and the single person or couple. Can't recommend it enough.

The Goods
It has a wonderful selection of potted orchids, especially after its annual orchid show in the early spring. You can also find succulents, bonsai and a variety of flowering plants. (And don't miss the annual plant sale, held in the Garden's parking lot. Call for dates.) The resource section of the shop is filled with books about plants, gardening and birds. You can also shop for bird feeders, birdbaths, fountains, pots and hand tools, plus jewelry, candles, lotions, tableware and more.
kindjuan. I've been to the gardens at least twice a year (in the summer) for the last 5 to 6 years. I enjoy it thoroughly every time I visit. Thank you.
bot gards. The Botanical Gardens aren't free. There is a small fee to pay at the entrance, unless you're a member. It's a beautiful place in the springtime and at Christmastime.
A romantic picnic spot. Absolutely beautiful! Take your sweetie and pack a picnic basket for a romantic, tranquil day amongst all the beauty the gardens have to offer!
Beautiful Gardens.. The Missouri Botanical Gardens are beautiful. They have many different gardens for the different seasons.
Great Place. I used to live in the St. Louis area and this was always one of my favorite places to go. It is just beautiful there. The Japanese gardens are wonderful and the scented garden is my favorite place. If you live in St. Louis and have never been go if you are visting I think that this should be on your list of places to go.
Beautiful in all Seasons. The Missouri Botanical Garden is on my "must-visit" list of things to do in St. Louis every time I go there. There are large, showy beds of peonies, tulips, pansies, roses, iris, and lilies when these flowers are in season. There are many fountains, there is a large Japanese garden section which is particularly beautiful in the winter. There is a building and associated garden plots devoted to the home gardener, and of course, a gift shop from which can be purchased specimens of many plants. The Missouri Botanical Garden is an enduring attraction for me because it is always changing and there is always something new to see.
