One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.

One of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis!. Longhorn is the place my husband and I go when we do not feel like experimenting with a new place. We have NEVER had a bad meal there, and always comment on that. The service is great. The food tastes delicious always. The price is reasonable; where else do you get a salad with your entree for no more? The atmosphere is casual. We have never had to wait more than 20 minutes to be seated. We will return over and over again to Longhorn. We have eaten at different Longhorn restaurants in St. Louis County, but think this location is the best.
