What People Are Saying About King

TB

I have had dogs almost, forever. In the past , before I found Dr. Zeis, Dr. King and Dr. Fagan of Watson Road Animal Clinic I was always frustrated. This group of Vets go above and beyond to take care of all animal illinesses to the best of their abitity. For my pets any treatment they have rendered for an illiness has been successful. Their staff is as caring and complying as the doctors are. I know, I have found the best in vet care that St. Louis has to offer in this group of doctors and staff. When it sometimes comes to making very difficulot decissions they are there to help and support you--I Know --They have helped me get through some hard ones.--THANK WITHALL MY HEART-- TB

My fiance and I rescued a dog ,Gidget, who had never been to the vet, never had any shots, and she had mange. He checked her out, took samples, and gave her all of her shots. His prices were less than Dr. Ziess', but if I did not trust him I would pay more to have my dog treated by the best. I think Dr. King is the best. If he is not working, I will not make an appointment. When Gidget was 10 months old, she began showing signs of a hip problem. She wouldn't jump onto the bed, didn't want to play... It got so bad that she would scream if you touched her or when she tried to get up. We took her to Dr. King, who diagnosed her with hip dysplaysia(after a different Dr. thought she was having back spasms and prescribed her muscle relaxers). He showed me the x-rays and gave me a few options. We decided to have him perform the surgery on her, rather than take her to a different doctor. The director of the education for Humane Society, as well as their head vet surgeon, both gave him a glowing recommendation. She ended up needing two surgeries, but he did not even charge us for the second. He was kind and helpful and answered all of our silly concerned "parent" questions. You would think after performing two surgeries on her, Gidget would be terrified of him... but when we turn the corner and she knows we are headed to see Jay, she freaks out! She is just so happy to see him every time, all he has to do is look at her and she dances with excitement. I have never had an awkward moment with Dr. King. I have never felt that he was more interested in chatting me up than taking the best care of my baby. In fact, I would say the opposite. He seems more interested in the animals than the people, as a good vet should be. I would never go to another vet.

What a wonderful place. Dr. King is one of the sweetest vets. He truly cares and is so honest with you. If your pet is sick, he keeps you informed constantly and always gives updates. He bent over backwards to accommodate us and take care of our sick puppy. He is a true animal lover. He has MANY pets himself and is quite knowledgeable!!
