Dining Nightmare. We were in a party of six and were seated in smoking, the waiter promised not to seat anyone near us since we had members of the party that had breathing trouble, but people were seated right next to us anyway. They were not busy at all, many empty tables, booth and bar. We got no rolls until we were hafway through our meal. They never refilled our drinks and were never around for us to ask for refills. Steaks were either over cooked or undercooked. All members of the party were served at different times. Baked potato was cold and so were fried shrimp. They left appetizer dishes on the table throughout the whole meal, I finally removed them from the table and put them on the bar. It took over half an hour to get our meals, other people were served before us even though they arrived after us. My french dip sandwich had food particles on it from what looked like a seasoned grilled chicken breast. I would guess the cook did not even wipe the knife off, let alone sanitize it like he/she is supposed to. Asked for a manager who was practically useless, just offered to redo the orders like our time was worthless and we would risk getting sick off something else out of his slop hall. We then paid an overpriced ticket of $70 and went on our way. There is a Texas Roadhouse that I'm sure has much better service right next door.
It mabe a chain but it's excellent food!. Wow! We never expected to have such a great experience at a chain restaurant. Their menu is expansive, the service is generally great, and there's great food for the price. Many might be compared to Chili's or Applebee's, but neither of those places have anything on O'Charley's. A real added touch is either the chef or general manager comes around sometime during your visit and asks how things are (in addition to the waitress doing their normal questioning). We've been there 3 times in 3 weeks and have been impressed everytime. I wish they had an O'Charley's where we live!
review. We found the servings to be undersized for the prices charged (2 adults) and the service to be slow and somewhat ambivalent towards customer needs.
