worst experience in a long time!.
well we had dinner at the Texas road house friday the 13th of April and it turned out as a typical friday the 13th experience!
we had to wait 30 min to be seated. this as at 6pm. then the waitress was very rude and when we finally got the food. i had ordered a steak it was rare instead of medium/well.
so i sliced steak into several bite size chunks hoping to find a warm piece. but to no avail. So against my better judgement i sent it back and waited and waited to get what i hoped was a different steak so i could dine with the rest of my group. but at last the steak i had cut into bite size chunks returned as charcoal briquets. Since everyone had finished their dinners, mine was boxed up as dog food. Max will love it instead of her Dry chunky food tomorrow. what bothers me most is no one even asked how the food was. or even asked us to come back. But the bill arrived and got paid before we left.
they say when three people complain their is 97 more who do not. so i guess since i complained does that mean there are 33 more unhappy customers tonight?
Best restaurant I know of.
We have eaten at this restaurant 5-6 times in the last 18 mos.
By far the best food of any restaurant I know of. Factor in the big portions and reasonable price, and it's a no brainer any time we're in St. Louis.
Staff is always nice.
Can be a wait at the wrong time of day, and it's noisy. That's the only bad things I can say.
Good thing I don't live closer...........I'd be 500lbs.
Great Place to Take the Family. We all love it! It is the one place we can all agree on! Thanks for coming to St. Charles!
Favorite Restaurant.
Best restaurant in town...hand's down. We have been going here for years, and it has yet to dissapoint. Great staff, fun, energetic, great value, and darn good food. What else can we ask for in a restaurant? The steaks are all hand cut, and it makes a difference, as they are always "spot on" with out expectations.
The management team is also always wonderful. They know us by name, and take the time out of their day (even though they are always busy!) to come and make us feel welcome.
We love you guys, and thank for giving us a great place to eat a few times a month!
Waiting Period far too long. We go to Texas Roadhouse regularly and the wait is usually long enough to have 1 or 2 drinks in the bar area. Tominight we went and granted it is Valentine's Day but the hostess told us after we waited for 40 minutes that it would be another 40 to 45 minutes. After waiting another 50 minutes we decided we were no longer hungry just a little tipsy so we decided to leave. We gave our number 141 to another couple and told them to use our name and then they could be seated sooner. So we left without dinner. This call ahead setaing leaves a lot to be desired. We can't call ahead because for an hour and a half before we get there we cannot make a phone call because of our location. Needless to say our valentine dinner was spoiled.
Texas--themed barbecue chain provides carnivores with a family-friendly spot for a hand-cut steak or rack of tender ribs..
In Short
With dozens of locations spread across most of the country, this faux-roadhouse chain has become a dependable spot for families in search of a casual spot for affordable steaks and down-home comfort fare. The playful menu is dotted with kid-friendly titles (chicken "critters," "road kill" chopped sirloin) and options (add caramel and marshmallow to a baked sweet potato for a dollar). In-house hand-cut steaks come in a plethora of cuts and sizes.
Good for the ribs!!. I was not impressed with this steak house. For the price it was "fair" , but I am willing to pay for a good meal. I would not recommend a steak from here but I do have to say that their ribs and rolls are AWESOME!!
Fun place to eat. I always enjoy eating here -- I go here once or twice a month with my wife and sometimes with our young kids. I think the ribeyes here are done as well as any chain does them, they always come out with plenty of flavor and not overcooked. Service usually is friendly and attentive, but the last couple of times I have not been as impressed. The ribs are especially good. Wait times are long -- recommend calling ahead. Booth bench seating is not real comfortable.
User review by jlstephens. This is possibly the best BBQ in the St. Louis area. Fall off the bone tender ribs are their trademark item and the have a good selection of steaks. Only complaint is no variety of sauce. They expect everyone to eat the ribs as served and don't even have a bottle on the table. This is a sweeter sauce, akin to KC sauces. I prefer a spicier sauce such as what comes out of Memphis or Texas. The name belies the product. But it's still good.
