Build a catenary curve and clock speeding cars..
This free and highly interactive museum is designed for hands-on experiences. It's geared toward kids, though adults may learn a thing or two. At nearly every turn, a scientific sage awaits to unlock the mysteries of the world, help explore the Internet and give lessons on human biology, anatomy, medicine, bridge building, ecology, etc. The Planetarium and Science Center are linked by a bridge that traverses a major highway, together making them one of the nation's leading space education facilities.
After traversing through the many elements of science, sit back and relax under the enveloping dome of the Omnimax theater. Nowhere else can you get the same cinematic experience as the dizzying audio and visual effects of cinema fill your entire field of vision. Arrive early and sit dead-center for the best possible experience.
AWESOME!!. I was a resident of Bellville IL for 3 yrs, and my family and I spent many wonderful days at the St Louis Science Center. So Much to do there, and fun for Kids and Adults alike. I have travelled all over our country and have been to most of the large cities, but St Louis MO, is I and my families favorite large city. The zoo is too good to believe, and Grants Farm is a blast! Good Job, St Louis, stay as good as you are. And most of all, a majority of the excellent facilities are FREE!!!
something for everyone. Since they built the Science Center I have been there countless times. They have changed exhibits around, the planetarium (which is connected) has been remodeled and they built a new dome which has good exhibits. I really enjoy the Omnimax theater. The movies are always really good. we saw an interesting titanic exhibit last year. again, you can park for free on the street somewhere or in forest park. lots of hands on stuff. we never get enough time in one day to look at everything.
Science Can Be Fun.. The Saint Louis Science Center is conveniently located, very fun and very informative.
So much to do. There is so much to do here that is absolutely free. Now you can catch one of the shows or demos, and there is a fee, but you can go, not spend a dime, and have a fabulous adventure.
Year Round Educational Fun. While the St. Louis Zoo gets my vote for Best Attraction, the Science Center wins, for me, as best Family Outing. This is solely because while, like the Zoo, it's open year round...it is also indoors. That makes for all weather family fun!! The Omnimax Theatre is wonderful, and I couldn't imagine having more fun learning!
Fun for all ages. The Science Center is great fun for all ages. There are plenty of interesting things to learn and play with. Lots of hands on experiments to try and they almost all are usually in working order. The movies cost money as do some of the special exhibits, but there are plenty of free things to do if you don't want to spend a dime. The snack bar cost a small fortune, I advise skipping that altogether. Try going in the late afternoon to avoid the school field trips.
10. this place has electronic dinosaurs it is really really cool you can also walk on a enclosed bridge that goes over the highway and look through telescopes and see the arch. there are many scientific things to do. it is really fun for kids and grownups. plus u can watch a souround screen movie where the screen goes all the way around u and the tickets are like 5 bucks each. they show very interesting movies. the one i saw was about the ocean. they also have the wright brothers plane and a fantabulous gift shop
Exciting. The Science Center is such a fun and educational place to go! I love the ever changing exhibits and the Omnimax. The shows are so cool!
