don't see Pepto here if you want something specific
by yadagal1
I brought in a simple cherry blossom tattoo, and was quoted $60 for it. After waiting an hour, Pepto came out and looked at the picture of the tat I wanted, then drew the outline. I told him where I wanted it, and the angle. Then sat in the chair and he got to work. The colors were supposed to be green, purple, yellow, and white. I came out of it with a completely pink flower, and a yellow and orange center. The only thing right was the green leaves. The angle was also different. When it was almost healed I called the shop to ask to get it redone. They said that they will not redo tats that had already healed, and that Pepto would be able to make the final decision after seeing it. And Pepto would have to be the one to redo it, but it probably have to be fully redone and paid for again. After he messed it up, I don't want him anywhere near me. I am so mad that he messed up something that would be on my body for the rest of my life. I will never go back to Allstar, and I hope none of you ever go to Pepto.
- Pros: Clean, sterile
- Cons: didn't do the tat I requested, price different from quote.

My sis and I went in as tattoo virgins, I' m not sure if she would do it again, but I even live out of town and would come in to get my next with Jason! We were greeted by Molly at the front counter, who was very cool, there was great music and comfy seats for those waiting. We were introduced to Jason, he was unable to do my tattoo that night, which was a drag, but did do my sister. I made an appt., left my drawing (a peacock) there for Jason to add his artistic touch and we headed back a few days later. I was happy that he did not change it, accept to enlarge the drawing for more detail and change some of the colors to be more vivid. He gave me another suggestion on were to place the tattoo, and I am glad I listened! I was nervous at first, but Jason puts you ease. Besides being in an uncomfortable position for 2 hours, I count it as one of my coolest experiences. Everybody who see's my peacock comments on the detail and the color, thanks Jason and Molly for the great time!
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
happy, but not 100% satisfied

i got my first tattoo her in july of 08. for the most part, everyone was really friendly and kind of helpful, but i do have a few complaints. i went in wanting to get a saying going around my wrist (like the one pink has, if you know what i'm talking about). really small writing, but i figured it was no big task, as i'd seen it done before. all the artists insisted it couldn't be done on that amount of space so instead i got it on my ankle, which was fine, just not what i had intended for. pepto was my artist and he drew up a sketch pretty fast and i was happy with it on paper and the price was reasonable (he even gave me a discount b/c it was my b-day). he wasn't the most personal, the other artist there were a lot friendlier and more helpful. he did make the whole experience a breeze though. it wasn't terribly painful, he let me take breaks when i needed to and the whole thing was done in less than 15 minutes. i was initially very pleased, but after the tat healed, i did notice a few imperfections. there was a small amount of ink blotching, like where maybe he let the needle sit in one spot for too long, one letter is slightly wavered (not a perfectly straight line, i mean), and the thickness of the lines are not consistent (some parts of letters were thicker or thinner than others). no huge mistakes, but if you look carefully, you can see some small imperfections, which i think shouldn't happen when it's something permanent on your body. i'm happy, overall, it's not like i wanna get it removed or anything, but i don't think i'll be going back.
- Pros: reasonable prices, nice people
- Cons: not totally perfect tattoos
