Not what it used to be.
This restaurant has changed many hands since I first visited it back in 2006. My most recent visit in Fall of 2010 was not anything like my earlier visits. The only thing that has remained consistent is the menu. Wish I could say the same about the service and the food.
The noodles were overdone and over doused with sauce. The soups were steeped in soy sauce which overpowered all of the other flavors. The spring rolls and entrees were average.
The service left a lot to be desired. Often the entrees were served without serving spoons and the appetizers brought in without any of the sauces they go with. They got our order wrong as well. Even the menus did not have correct prices.
I have only been (many times) for lunch, so I can't speak for dinner service, but lunch has been great. The food is wonderful, with good lunch specials. Best Hot and Sour soup I have found in St. Louis so far, as is the Szechuan eggplant. The lunch menu is a lttle limited, otherwise it is definitely worth a try.
takes more then 15 minutes to take your order after seated!!! ask them a question about that and they get offended!!! Food is average but staff is far from courteous. Go only fi you crave this food or there are places with more responsive and couteous staff
