THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED. This restaurant has been closed for a couple of years. It was generally good, but pricey. Not surprised it's gone.

I don't get it. It's a very blue place. With a steel fish on it's tail out front, with fire shooting out of it's mouth. I could only wonder, WHY?

Nice table for a large family group. Rarely saw the waitress, the seating seemed endless. The menu, strange. The cost, overpriced. The meal, disappointing.

Seems to me that it had a jumping bar crowd. After one meal there, it seems to me that the draw for most people were the singles in the bar. My experience in the bathroom was like that at a club. Only I wasn't going there to party.

Is the restaurant an afterthought?

So so dining experience. I must say after reading the reviews I was sorely dissapointed this evening after dining here. The measly salad consisted of mainly lettuce and not much else with the tiniest amount of dressing was not worth the price, I would defeintely skip it for next time. My main dish was boring and bland with the shrimp being very dry and rubbery. Service was friendly but slow, I ate me entire entree with an empty beverage glass, this I can sometimes understand in a busy place but with over half the tables empty it should not have happened. I can't say I would recommend this place to anyone. It wasn't horrible but for the cost of the meal I didn't get close to what I paid for. There are too many other great choices in the area for my next dining experiance.

Loved the whole meal. There were 4 of us for dinner on a Saturday evening; every one of us loved our dishes. The salad was very good and so was the sommelier. It was worth every penny, and we will be back. The only concern was it was a Saturday night and the place wasn?t packed.

Sticker Shock!. I could not believe the Check when I saw it! Brio, Farrato's, Truffles... none are as expensive as Aqua Vin. It is a nice place. But $18.00 for a lunch sized plate of chicken and pasta is excessive. Just add a couple of drinks and an appetizer and your tab will approach $75.00.

Poor. First our take out orders were taken wrong. When my husband arrived to pick up the food, no one knew who took the orders. After waiting for 1 hour only to pick the wrong orders up. The manager promised to return our money, this was in May, and now it is August, i am yet to see the money.

Dinner, Drinks and Music with Friends. Just moving from LA to St. Louis I am always looking for not only fab food but great atmosphere, Aqua Vin was a great surprise. Having arrived with a group of friends not only did we have one of the best lobster pasta dishes but also great service and did

not want the nite to end. Our group stayed and danced late and had fab martini's and

were treated by the management like royalty. Cudos!!!!!!

Dressy West County dining room lures the in-crowd with a retro look and killer crab legs.. The Scene
The young and beautiful mingle with the well-heeled and monied in an aquamarine dining room of deftly managed minimalism. Walls of windows bring in the outdoors; the hot bar brings in the singles.

The Food

"Food without boundaries" is the restaurant's slogan, and the inspiration for some unusual food combinations. Aqua Vin's surf-and-turf turns the concept on its ear with sesame-encrusted ahi tuna coupled with beef ravioli--two distinct meals rather than one happy marriage. Plantation cuisine makes its way onto the menu with salmon filet paired with hoppin' John: rice, black-eyed peas and smoked pork. Maryland blue crab cakes are passable, but more cake than crab. In contrast, the charred yellowfin tuna with ginger-soy-wasabi sauce and rice noodle salad is a success. The best reason to visit? Plump Alaskan crab legs, served with red skins, butter and lemon leave patrons licking their fingers and dabbing their chins.
