Never had a problem buying from them. Fair and honest from what I can tell.
I have a car from Wildwood. Has low miles, looks good however it's falling apart. Called owner he ran me around n then was just rude. The price was right but it's better to buy from a large dealer than WILDWOOD MOTORS. At least a big dealer stands behind their cars, this guy just runs away from problems. Don't be stupid like me. We thought we checked him out. :(
Searched the internet to shop all the dealers and find the best deal. Found the truck I wanted at Wildwood Motors and gave them a call. They had one of the best prices. Looked at a couple others but the best deal was still at Wildwood. They had it safety and emissioned for me before sale and it is a terrific truck. Very happy.
Fantastic experience!! I want to share my recent purchase of a used car from Wildwood Motors. I am a single parent of a teenage son who was in need of a reliable car to be able to commute to and from college. In the past I would have feared buying a used car. However, when dealing with Mark and his employees, I feel that I have definitely made the right decision. They were very honest and followed through on everything they promised, from the financing to the moment we drove the car off the lot. They still continue to follow through on the transaction to make sure we are happy. I highly recommend Wildwood Motors!!
I wouldn't wish what happened to me on ANYONE! It was a huge mess to arrive at some agreement (with the help of the attorney general's office, consulting a lawyer, among others) on the vehicle I purchased. Even though the sale was never officially completed, they absolutely refused to give me a refund. I would have taken them to small claims court but the price of the car was above the small claims limit. The owner has a lawyer in his back pocket that he isn't afraid to throw around. I'm not the kind of person who can afford to sue, but the owner certainly is.
Especially if you are a woman, STAY AWAY!!! They see you coming and get the guilt trips out of the sales closet.
Wildwood Motors forced me into "resolving" my issue logged with the BBB. I ended up losing well over $1,000 in dealing with these crooks. There are other reputable dealerships in the area! Check MO casenet to see how many lawsuits have been filed against the owner...
P.S. Any dealership that will not let you have a used car inspected by your own mechanic - RUN FAST!
If you enjoy purchasing cars and yelling at people, go ahead. But for the rest for us who dread purchasing cars, Wildwood Motors is your nightmare.
Just stay away. It makes me sad to think about the bottom feeders who prey off other people.
Biggest Mistake – I traveled over an hour to view/purchase a car from Wildwood Motors. I wish I hadn't. My own mistake was trusting in these guys. Based on the previous reviews and overall feeling I got from talking to them, I let my guard down and ended buying a vehicle I shouldn't have. I spent over $400 of my own money on car repairs within the first couple days of owning it. I still have hundreds more to spend if I want it in the condition I actually thought it was at time of purchase. I asked several times if there were any known issues with the car and I was always assure that no, there were none. It was untrue and they knew it, because my salesman told me he personally drove the car at least twice. They did not act like they cared about the issues with the car, rarely ever returned my many phone calls, and made me feel like my car, my problem, rather than a valued customer. I learned an expensive lesson buying from them and now all I can really do is discourage others!
GREAT PRODUCT, service--worth the drive!! – The VW Beetle convertible I bought from Wildwood in 2009 has far exceeded my expectations, (especially having come from a Porsche.)
They have great follow up service, are very friendly, and just waxed my car on my way through St. Louis back to KC.
It was well worth the drive to pick up my "bug", I am definitely going back when this one retires.
Bought A Great Looking / Driving Audi – I must say I am pleased with my 2008 Audi A-4 . The car is clean, they put new brakes on it before the sale and had it checked out thoroughly. I am happy with my experience. This is my second used car I bought from Wildwood Motors- my son is still driving his 1998 Gran Prix we bought over 6 years ago. Good car! Check them out- good inventory.
I have bought 3 cars from Wildwood motors and trust them – I have bought a Chevy Cavelier, a Pontiac Sunfire...oooh I liked that one. And a Ponticac G6. I have never had to have any service other than my car inspection every year. They know how to pick cars at this place. I personally am not a used car person, but I have found that you can buy a perfectly good car that someone has used for a short time and pay considerably less. I have had perfectly good cars and have saved alot of money this past 17 years.
Great experence – Looked at all the VW dealers,I could not find a late model VW anywhere in my price range. I found a car on Craigslist that would be perfect if it was the real price, I contacted them thru e-mail and they responded quickly. The dealer informed me the car was there and available, I went out to see it 2days later and it was the car I saw online. I drove it and had it checked out by a local shop, it passed with only 1 minor thing to be fixed, they did fix it and we made the deal the next day. They took great care of me and were very easy to work with.
