Pizza >Maurizio's Cafe
Yummy. Loved the pizza! The sauce is good, they use the perfect amount of cheese and toppings! You can even fold it over like true New York styled Pizza! It's the best by far in St. Louis!
Cool staff and good food.
I was surprised to see the negative ratings! I've been there 3 times since I moved to STL 6 months ago. I love the food. I've had the pesto pasta, rib tips, fried cod, fries, fried ravioli, and potato salad. And it was all wonderful food. Good enough to keep me coming back!
I gave it a 4 only because even with all the tables its hard to find a clean one :( But good food and nice staff!
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
This really is the worse run establishment known to mankind. The manager Sean is such a rude obnoxious arrse. This guy tried to say it's my fault for my pasta being cold. He angered of a group of people worth 40 million collectivley. That then angered of a guy worth 40 mill by himself. He can really angered off a lot of people.
The pasta (and they are Itallian) is precooked!!! haha!! What a crock for 9 bucks. Its like eating mush. It is gross and watery and mushy. They wont cook up a fresh batch even if you ask them to. They make you think they are back there making pasta from eggs anf flour in little puddles, then boiling it fresh, trust me they are not. It is a disgrace to the Italians at large.
All of the pizza toppings are frozen nasty ***. I have been to New York and studied the pizza there. For one, They use some crappy watered down cheese. In New York, they use goat milk cheese. They use frozen sliced pepperoni. New york uses premium imported deli pepperioni. Moregreaseyhoes uses California tomatoes that taste like ****. New york uses imported tomatoes that are sweet. New York uses imported pizza grade Italian flour. Moregreaseyhoes uses margerine, New York: butter. I think you get the idea. Do I even need to mention that New York uses fresh herbs in the sauce.
This really is an overpriced, basicly frozen, gross product not worth buying. It shoud not be respresented as a New York pizza for all to many reasons. They cant even use olive oil on their pizza OR pasta. What a bunch of cheap **** not worth eating.
Dump. I was in St. Louis on 2/21/2009. I called Maurizio's at 9:30 p.m. and the help picked up the phone and immediately hung up. This happened twice. I called back and they informed me they would not delviery because of traffic. My hotel was 1 1/2 blocks away. I called back in order to pick up a pizza again I was hung up on. This is the worst run business I have ever patronized. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE. Finally in desperaton I went to PaPa John's. At least they told me the delivery would be an hour and a half. As a result I picked one up from PaPa John's/
You can request a frequent eater card so buffet is only $8.10 on average. My teammates and I really enjoy the lunch buffet. Ask for a frequent eater card at the register. Once you buy the $9 buffet nine times, the 10th one is free. All you can drink is included.
dissapointed in price hike!. my last review was all praise for Maurizio's fantastic lunch buffet and delicious pizza, but now I'm going to complain a little bit. Last summer, this lunch buffet cost like 6 bucks, but now its 9! that is quite a jump. i could understand upping it to 7 or even 7.50 but 9! i will def go less often now and thats a shame.
Custumer service. I ordered from Maurizzio's and was quated 45-1 hour delivery time after waiting 1 hour and 15 min I called and asked to come pick it up the guy told me I needed to be patient and no he would not cook me new food to come pick up. After waiting a 1 1/2 I called to cancel my order and thats when I was cursed out and told that I would never be able to order from there again. So if your hungry and want to eat I dont reccomend ordering maurizzios
Best Ever. This is the best Pizza EVER. I have traveled across the world and all over the U.S. and this is by far the best!
Its The Best!. I stayed in St. Louis over a holiday weekend for a wedding of a dear friend. I happened to be staying at a hotel right across the way from Maurizio's, we were up late and hungry! we saw the open sign and rushed over. The food melted in our mouths! I wish that we had something similar to this place back home! They delivered to our Hotel room the next night at 2am! This place is the best for late night snackers!
alright. the pizza is great but the rest of the menu only offers greasy, fattening meat foods. Maurizios could do more to offer healthier choices and less deep fried food.
