I just want to say this. I'm half japanese making my mother full japanese and for her birthday I wanted to get her some great sushi. There was no question in my mind where to go. Chi.

Bad service

Tonight will be the last time I will ever order from Chayoon. I really do believe that the wait staff there does not appricieate customers and treat them with the customer service that they deserve. I think when a waitress rolls her eyes at a customer it is completely unacceptable. Chayoon, if you are wondering why there is no one in your restaurant on a Friday night, your bad service might be the answer. Chayoon's sushi is decent and prices are good.. the only thing it is missing is a wait staff that will stop yapping with one another and give the customers the service and respect they deserve.

Quality, not variety

Cha Yoon's primary business is a tea restaurant, including bubble teas. It is a small slice of a place with only a few seats at the sushi bar. It would be understandable if the sushi was an afterthought. Yet within its admittedly limited selection it serves up some the best sushi in St. Louis. I've been several times, and each time the rice was excellent and the fish very good. By creative combinations there is a nice roll selection.

It's not a place I would head to for a more complete dining experience, but if it's just sushi fix you're after this place is highly recommended. Tea's good, too.
