Larry's review. I've been to Raymond's a handful of times as Kevin Cronin, John Kernan and my brothers, Andrew and Dennis had owned the property and continue to do so. The management of the restaurant had changed hands several times as the property owners attempted to establish and maintain Jack English's. The underlying premise was to keep the original vision and atmosphere of Jack English's continuing. However, owning the property and managing the restaurant are two separate entities. And while the management of the restaurant got away from Jack's vision that was not anyone's intent. Nevertheless, Gary has done an excellent job of returning English's to a decent place to eat and socialize .

What A Surprise!. Excellent food and the owner Gary is a nice fellow. He needs to expand however since word of mouth is making his bargain quality meals very popular. If Belleville's city fathers don't offer this guy some incentives to help pay for expansion, I fear he may boogy out of Belleville and we'll be forced to spend our dinner dollars across the river in the LOU.

great food. English is now Raymonds Place it caters to all with great burgers, certified angus beef, whole catfish, homemade onion rings, and more. It is now owned and operated by a certified Chef and his wife, and they are doing a great job. Best food in belleville, no comparison
