The Scene – Club music pulses and kitschy kung fu movies roll on a flat screen TV in this stylish sushi lounge, which feels like a hip downtown night spot even though it's smack dab in the middle of the comparatively sterile West Port Plaza complex. A few couches beckon up front, and blond wood tables offer scattered seating in the long, low-lit dining room. New to Japanese food? Don't sweat it--servers will happily give you a crash course. – – The Food – The extensive menu is admittedly pricey--specialty maki rolls range from $8 to $16--but sushi lovers will…

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in saint louis. i have been to the drunken fish at least a couple dozen times and it is very consistent with service and food.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone. it is amazing food and the quality of the fish is second to none.

Weird Waitresses

by Anonymous13232 at Citysearch

Great food, great prices, great happy hour.... not so much great service. I have seen people who are supposed to be working hanging out and talking more than any other restaurant. What's worse, it one girl at Drunken Fish Landing actually SITS WITH HER TABLES!!! I understand if you know someone, stop and say hello, but don't sit down when people are on a date trying to get to know each other. And don't push me to order a drink. I ordered what I wanted. I didn't want the sweet drink the waitress, Melissa, tried to push on me. And how strange it was how she stood at our table minutes after a normal person would've left. Self-service would've been preferred at this point!

  • Pros: Best Happy Hour EVER
  • Cons: The weird/pushy waitresses

awful service, mediocre food, rude managers, topped with a little friend.

by chloejade143 at Citysearch

My husband and I were more than excited when we had a babysitter for a friday night! We decided that we would head to Drunken Fish at Westport to have some sushi and cocktails. After waiting for about an hour to get seated, we were lucky enough to get to wait another ten minutes, just to get our water glasses filled! And then yet, another ten minutes just to get our cocktails! We wanted to give the server the benefit of the doubt, figuring he were probably just busy. Too bad the servers attitude was just as bad as the time we had to wait. He was rude and he kept rushing us. We ordered the Drunken Fish Roll, and the Kamikazee Roll, and both really, were quite similiar. Tasting pretty bland really. After we got about half way through our meal, I glanced over to see a HUGE nasty something or other, with long legs, crawling on the wall next to me. NOT APPETIZING. Could not even believe it. The manager, Jason i think it was, was also just as rude and arrogant as our server. He acted as if this were no big deal. It was disgusting, disturbing, and tasteless. Our experience was absolutely ruined, and i will never be back again, nor would i EVER suggest anyone else to go as well. Absolutely, completely, over-rated. AND disgusting on top of it.

  • Pros: the lights are low
  • Cons: so you cant see whats crawling on the walls.
