The Scene
Smart, modern modifications on comfortable mainstays characterize the experience at this surprising and popular eatery. 50's era jazz wafts through the dining room and complements, rather than contradicts, the updated sleekness of the décor. Angular white walls and art deco glass accent the cozy, pleasant dining space. Affable servers keep an eye on the upscale yet unpretentious clientele.
The Food
Wine lovers start with The Rabbit Ridge Montepiano, a quirky and aromatic Tuscan blend, just one of many unique offerings featured on the list. An eclectic menu incorporates some of the most beloved and traditional elements of French and Italian cuisine. Since fine cooking can't be hurried, the duck confit spends two days soaking in a garlic-clove marinade. From lamb chops served off the bone to chicken Milanese, recognizable favorites receive a create twist. Even simplicities like coffee ice cream are presented by drowning vanilla ice cream in steaming rich espresso.

it is a small place that is a bit more casual than the food would suggest. everything we had was wonderful. i especially liked the gnocchi. i would go back in a heart beat.

The food was great, it was Niche-like but not as inventive. Had their dessert there and it was good--but I didn't try anything else there. The place was packed.

After noticing Atlas when we were out for a walk, my wife and I made reservations for dinner there later that week. When we arrived for dinner, we were seated promptly. Between the two of us, we had the mussels, lamb, pan fish, creme brulee, and three layer cake. The food overall was okay; though neither of us are chefs, we thought there were various aspects of the meal could be improved on (ex: the lamb was tender and the accompanying sauce was good, but the meat itself was rather bland; the mussels were alright - nothing unique about them). The service was good: our drinks were refilled and our dishes were cleared promptly and everyone was polite. Overall, may go back to try it again, but was not overwhelming impressed.
