The Scene – How does one convert a massive sporting-goods store into an intimate dining destination? With pink--lots of pink. Cyrano's, which delighted St. Louisans with its indulgent desserts for nearly four decades, has reopened after a seven-year hiatus in the old Alpine Shop space. The Barbie-esque paint job, cozy furniture and functioning fireplace make for an inviting coffee shop and restaurant. – – The Food – The menu features inventive "little plates" designed for sharing with little-ish price tags. Do not waste your time!

I was very excited to go to Cyrano's last night since I had heard that it was a place I had to visit. After wasting my money there, I can't imagine why ANYONE would waste their time with that restaurant. Our waitress was inattentive and bordering on rude. The food (roast beef sandwich and fries) was mediocre and pricey considering the tiny portions. The orange crepes were gross, but the bread pudding was very good. I generally don't eat a lot, but I left hungry and had to make something else to eat once I got home. I will definitely not return.
- Pros: Bread pudding
- Cons: Parking, service, price, portions
A little pricey but neat place - 'eclectic'

Had a mid-afternoon lunch about 1.5 months ago. I would definitely go back. Was a little slow on service but our food was good. It really does have potential to be much more.
- Pros: Eclectic
- Cons: Pricey
I Keep Hoping

I've eaten at Cyrano's many times. Every time I return I hope that they might have gotten just a bit more enthusiastic about their clientele. The place has such potential. In fact I met my husband at Cyranos so what could be more special than returning to Cyranos to eat our wedding dinner? We even told the help at Cyranos the significance of our dinning there that evening. You would have thought they would have at least gotten a bit joyful or attentive considering the significance of the day for us...but nope...as always...the only thing that really is exceptional was the Bread Pudding. It is so sad that Cyrano's just can't crank it up a notch. Are the employees not happy or something?
- Pros: Good Parking, Bread Pudding, Location
- Cons: service, main courses, prices
