What People Are Saying About Beffa Brothers Restaurant

In Short – Beffa Brothers has been feeding St. Louis movers and shakers since the late 1800s, and at its current location since 1966. The cheap drinks and home-cooked, cafeteria-style food attract politicians, police officers and businesspeople to the smoky, unmarked VFW-style hall. Try the cozy baked ham or the meat loaf with a side of mashed potatoes or a deviled egg. There's no printed menu, so don't be offended if prices seem to vary based on the customer.
Best Homecooked food in St. Louis
by cwimsatt at Citysearch
This is the best homecooked food in St. Louis. You don't have to be a mover or a shaker to enjoy the food, friendly people and prices. Don't let the lack of a sign put you off. That's a sign of independence from normal world of commerce, not a secret club. Just walk in and say "hi" to Michael, the third generation owner. Everyone's very friendly. I find it's a refreshing change from corporate stylings and service of most restaurants.
- Pros: homecooked food, friendly folks, something different
- Cons: no sign
