It's astounding that anyone has
anything good to say about El Indio other than they're cheap. It is the same bland, poor quality fare as El Maguey or El Nopal.

Just OK.
My family of 5 went here ad didn't really care for it. The atmosphere isn't that great and the service was a little slow, but friendly. My husband and I split a fajita thing for 2. The meats on the plate looked like big slabs of grade F meat. I couldn't even look at it. We didn't eat much of it, and we don't waste food! I won't be going back here.

Authentic Mexican in the Lou.
This is good old fashioned, basic Mexican food. Nothing fancy, but it hits the spot! It's not the kind of place where you sit and drink cocktails for hours with your friends- eat here first and then go to the club. The service is excellent, the prices are low, and the location is great. Just as good as the places on Cherokee, but more convenient.

Excellent food.
This is a great restaurant if your looking for good food at very affordable prices. Skip the bigger places like Hacienda. Here you'll receive great service with authentic Mexican food. Portions are large and the price is right. THe staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy.

El Indio the Indian.
This is a small authentic Mexican restaurant in Rock hill that servers good food at low prices. They serve good chips and a tomato and cilantro salsa. The Indio dip is cheese, beef, tomatoes, onions and cilantro and is fantastic too. The combination plates on the menu are fine but were they succeed so high are in plates like the Jalisco which is served on bead of rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, bell peppers and onions smothered in cheese Fantastic. Good strong Margaritas and Mexican beer served nightly. El Indio is located in an old pizza hut restaurant that has added tables and half walls. On Tuesday evenings they have live table music.
