My new go-to spot!. I've had the pleasure of hanging out at Van Goghz since late summer. I go with family and friends and we ALWAYS have a blast!! Love the kaorake, even though my son fired me as a backup singer.

The drinks are great, and get you where you need to be. lol I've only ordered chicken wings once, but they were very good. And I since I read how good the burgers are, I can't wait to try them too!

George is very friendly and always makes us feel so welcome. The service is always good and I think we run poor Matesha (I'm sure I spelled that wrong...sorry!) to death! But everyone is always very friendly. I look forward to many more fun times at Van Goghz!

Best place for dinner AND a surprise party!. I recently hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband at Van Goghz in the party room. We both enjoy the food (especially steak night!) and atmosphere so he would never suspect a party by going there for a late lunch.

Ginger (owner) was excellent about suggesting an appetizer menu for the expected number of people, even substituting in some vegetarian-friendly items to accommodate some of our guests. In addition, she gave our party special pricing on some of my husband's favorite drinks! The party plan specifically stated the final food costs and service fees that exactly matched the bill when I settled up. The overall pricing was a great deal for the venue and the amount of food and drink. Plus, it was great not having to cook or clean up afterwards!

On the day of the party, some food was out precisely at the proper time and fresh dishes were added throughout the party permitting a perfect snacking/drinking social atmosphere. Ginger's menu recommendations were perfect because everyone got as much food as they wished, yet very little food was left over. Everyone raved about the pizza, pretzel bites, dips, brownies, martinis, and the sociable size and layout of the party room! Everyone at the party had such a great time! I strongly recommend using Van Goghz to host events because of the cost, simplicity, food, and service. It is a perfect neighborhood dining and entertaining establishment!

Best Neighborhood Bar/Bistro in St Louis. I have lived in the area for 2+ years and have always had a great experience at Van Goghz. Recently I got the pleasure of having Shelay be my waitress on a Wednesday night. She is one of the best servers that I have EVER had. Ever. Her naturally pleasant attitude will make any meal, drink or dessert enjoyable. I have tried most things on the menu and have been impressed with all of it. A wide drink menu and laid-back atmosphere add to the experience. This is not an establishment for high-maintenance people. The crowd is very diverse and open minded, it is enjoyable to see a wide range of people mingling in the city without any issues. Hats off to the owners and staff!!!!

Worst Customer Service Experience Of My Life. This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. We sat at a table of about 8 people, with a waitress. Drinks took 20-25 minutes to be delivered. Half the time we were all sitting there with empty martini glasses. The food was mediocre at best. Basically frozen Sam's food tossed into a fryer. We gave our waitress a credit card at the beginning of the night. A couple of hours into the night, we were so fed up with the completely awful service that we decided to leave. So we cancel any drink orders were were STILL waiting on and asked for the checks. An hour later (literally), they bring us the checks, only our credit card is missing. They have lost our credit card. It was the only form of payment we had. After another 45 minutes of hashing this out with the bar manager, she tells us to go ahead and leave without paying, because of all that has happened. We are on our way out, and the police show up. Yes, the owner of the bar, going over the bar manger, has called the police. The owner has refused to come out and talk to us up to this point, and she then calls the police. I'm sorry but this is just not how you treat customers. And to clarify, none in our party was even drunk. We were there about 3 hours and only had 2-3 drinks each. We were so annoyed at the end of the night that any buzz we might have had was well worn off by this time. So it's not like they had 8 drunk customers bitching about a lost credit card. We were all sober. So basically, the end of it is that we have to go back to the bar and pay our tab. When something like this goes down, with awful service, and then a lost credit card, I'm sorry but the answer is to comp the bill. We had begun telling our friends how cool this place was, and now our plan is to tell absolutely everyone we know how awful the place is.

Great Food, Drinks and Staff. We love this place. Ginger and the staff are always incredibly helpful. Our favorite is breakfast but the Martini's are a huge plus as well.

Van Goghz is the perfect neighborhood place where you can stop in, likely run into friends and grab a bite and a drink pretty inexpensively.

We've liked the place so much that we have even worked with Ginger for a few events. She has been an excellent and very flexible.

What a great neighborhood bistro/martini bar. Ever since moving to the Tower Grove area last fall, I have found myself walking a few blocks more than once a week, sometimes for more than once a day to this great neighborhood spot. I was so happy to find Van Goghz around the corner as it has it all - great coffee, great food , great drinks and great staff. The atmosphere is very inviting, the staff are super friendly and the food - well it is amazing (large portion and inexpensive price). Whether you live in the neighborhood or just happen to be passing through, stop by Van Goghz- you wont be dissapointed!

Great food, drinks, atmosphere, staff. This place was recommended by a friend. I am so glad it was....the food, drinks and especially the staff make it worth it every time my friend and I go. Even on a busy day, the staff are friendly and your food arrives piping hot to eat. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. I highly recommend this place!!!!! 5 stars!!!!!!

Bad Service. Gone to this bar many times and have always got poor service! Owners friendly enough but employees rude and tend to ignore customers! And they never seem to have same cook. Even during slow times you get lousy service! Beware not a straight bar!

this is a gay bar. This is a gay bar, so if that's what your into you might enjoy it. The service is second rate and the drinks aren't all that reasonably priced.

Best Chicken Dumpling Soup in St. Louis. This place is just pure and simple GREAT!!!

My wife and I moved here from Colorado Springs and coming from living in the suburbs to living in Tower Grove Park and having a great neighborhood hang out right around the corner like Van Goghz is awesome. I had the best Chicken Dumpling Soup ever this past week.
