I've eaten at many of the recommended restaurants listed on this site from Eleven Eleven Mississippi, Sydney Street, and Vin De Set, and I would put Niche right up there. If you're looking for some place to be romantic, go the extra block or two to Sydney Street. Niche is very urban and in my opinion, very congested. There is not too much of a bar there to wait until being seated. In fact, you might get knocked over by the door as it opens. However, the bartenders are wonderful, insightful, and will openly converse with you regarding any food questions, drinks, and recommendations. As mentioned before, the restaurant is seated very close together, so more intimate affairs might be better off somewhere else. Our sever was very polite and helpful w/ the menu. The food was excellent: ribeye was cook to our specifications, the mushrooms were plentiful and fresh, and the pulled rib meat was wonderful and the deserts deserve accolades! I recommend going with the chef's menu of pick three (salad or soup, choice of entree, and desert for $35. With four people eating, two chose that option. With two entrees, two chef's menu, wine, and two appitizers our total was $300.00 including tip. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a nice dinner out with friends, but not for an intimate evening out.

Pros: Great food, Diverse menu

Cons: No parking, Very congested

Not a good experience at all. Atmosphere was decent, but the tables are jammed together and there is almost no privacy. I had the Halibut, and it was like eating card board. No flavor at all. Also, my date had the ribeye steak. First off, I dont know how you serve ribeye as and entre, and secondly, it was flat and flavorless as well. Also, it ended up being way too pricey. I had high expectations, but it ended up being a huge disappointment.
