Don't waste your time and money!.
I was expecting so much more, very dissapointed.
Not the same OSF that I know from Downtown St. Louis.
I didn't care for the menu set up.
Not very many choices.
Food was very bland.
Small portions.
Service was OK.
Considering everything, way overpriced.
Will never visit Checterfield OSF location again.
Kitschy Italian restaurant churns out heaping plates of pasta that won't break the bank..
In Short
Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more. Other popular favorites are the baked lasagna--layers of noodles, tomato sauce and four kinds of cheese--and the fettuccine Alfredo. Meals include a green salad, fresh-baked bread and ice cream.
Great Italian food! Excellent Value for money!!! Kid Friendly...Family Fare..
We were looking at Italian restaurants offering vegetarian options and chanced upon the old sphagetti factory. The restaurant does not take reservations so there would be a minimum ten minute waiting time especially on Saturday nights. But since the service is extremely fast, chances are, you would be seated even earlier. The waiting area is roomy and the entire restaurant is filled with old time tiffany glass lighting and the likes.
The menu is pretty good and has few vegetarian options. Not too much on the sea food, but then I dont really eat meat, . Their "Complete Meal" option is a winner. For $9 or so, you could get warm bread with butter, salad with a choice of dressing, the main course, coffee/ tea or iced tea and ice cream(vanilla or spumani)...So you have a complete meal for as low as $9. The service is extremely fast and well-oiled.
They also have options to make the meal heartier by offering a bigger portion for a little extra money. Or you could also downgrade it by cutting out the coffe and ice cream for a $1.45 lesser, to suit your palate and your purse.
One of the few restaurants offering a choice of gluten free italian fare, oupon requesting for it ahead. Kid friendly, as they have a host of italian pastas. The kid` menu also has an applesauce/salad, the main course and the ice cream (Vanilla or spumani) for as low as $4.95. On the whole, it was a pleasant experience without the feeling that you have spent a fortune fot it!!!
We would definitely go there again...
