38.651655 -90.565647Double Whammy: Awful Haircuts and Even Worse Service. I went in there to get a basic cut. I didn't expect too much because it was a mall and had a 14 dollar hair cut deal. When I first went in the two people (my hairdresser and the manager) in there were friendly. I said I just wanted a cut. Immediately he (manager) asked if I wanted to pay 11 more dollars to get it washed and dried, I declined. When I sat down she(the hairdresser) did the normal your hair is beautiful, which was nice but then she asked where I normally get it cut, I lied and said my aunt did it, but usually I go to Great Clips (which is so much better) Before she even started she took 5 mins to take a personal call. Then she started by asking me what shampoo I use, by the looks of the huge wall of products I could tell she was going to try and pawn some product off on me. So I said dove and she gave me the dirtiest look, and I was just like what's wrong with Dove? But she just shrugged and went on cutting. She started off really-really slow talking a lot, which I didn't mind since I was taking a good 3 inches off my hair. Then she started to trash talk on of the former employees about how she was stealing...blah blah. Which I thought was extremely UN professional. A family of 3 came in she left me to talk to them, which was fine since she was the only person there (the manager left). She picked up the pace on my hair cut she barley took the time to make sure it was even, which it was defiantly not. I still have longer pieces than my hair cut hanging down; the layers she put in made me look like a football. I think that I could have cut it better, which I probably should have done. As I said I usually go to great clips, they are always fast and friendly and never pressure me to buy anything. I would NEVER go back to Master Cuts even if it was a different stylist.
