Malia's has the most talented stylists in the STL area. As a nursing student I am always on a budget. However, I expect my hair to be easy to maintain, the color to look fabulous and this is always what I get when I leave Malias. I have no problem paying high prices when the craftsmanship is of excellent quality. This is what you get when you are at Malias. Whatever the owner John is doing there he has managed to do something very good and I hope it continues to stay that way. My recommendations for color would be Mark Lewis. (I can't imagine my hair without him!) For hair cuts, Lisa Weber, Kara, and the great new addition, David. (I just had my last two cuts from him and I feel like Cameron Diaz running around with my "Surfer Ponytail" as I call it. David and Mark have got me feeling hot and what more could you ask from your hair team/salon?! GO MALIA!!!

Pros: Master Stylist on staff all the way down to interns.

Cons: No cold Ice Tea in the summer!

This salon has a way of being able to adhear to someone on a budget and someone who doesn't have a budget at all. The entire staff has the training an ability of the top salons I've seen in New York, LA, FL, and all over the states. Either choose from an intern who is being trained under the top master or choose a master stylist with the experience of more than 10 years; you'll experience the same customer service through out your stay. Enjoy a glass of wine or a soda, and although they didn't have ice tea, the owner was more than happy to walk next store to get me one. Talk about making your clients feel as if they are right at home.

Pros: The consultations are well indepth so you know what your getting and what they are doing.

Cons: They are busy, I suggest pre booking
