if Bob's is Good enough for St Louis' Top Restaurants....
If you love to prepare and eat seafood, you have to try Bob's Seafood. You will not find a better place to buy your seafood. Everything is fresh and never frozen. It is all processed in house ensuring the highest quality. Plus their prices are as economical as their inferior competition.
If you have had seafood from any of Saint Louis' top restaurants, then you have already had Bob's Seafood. They have been the purveyor of choice for the area’s most meticulous chefs since 1979. If Bob’s Seafood is good enough for their kitchens, then it is good enough for mine as well.
If you are unsure how to prepare a meal, just ask them. With Barb’s great recipe ideas, you should be able to prepare a meal for your family that is as good if not better than the finest restaurants in town. Not only will you save a large amount of money, but you will greatly increase the amount of invaluable family time in your household as well.
Not very impressed. I read the reviews on here and being a seafood fan decided to try the store. Being for the East Coast I am a big fan of FRESH seafood, but after seeing the selections on this Friday I will continue to shop at Whole Foods. WHY? In the case was "fresh" Chilean Seabass which when pressed for details they inform me it was "refreshed" cut from previously frozen whole fish. Next with asked the origin of their Blue Point Oysters (which are native to New York) I found the shellfish tag to read product of Chesapeake Virgina. For the normal customer, this may not be a problem but I have a serious trust issue about a company that misleads people in this manner. Just be honest !!!
Bob only catches the best!!. Freshest and bestest!! Thanks bob your the sweetest!!
Great Customer Service. My husband and I are incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful establishment in which to buy our fish. Today, my husband brought our daughter to Bob's where the lady behind the counter (I believe Barb) showed her the lobsters and crawfish. When she told my husband that she never eats scallops in the form of sushi, she offered him some free scallops of a type we'd never tried and asked us to report back. The tuna, salmon, and scallops are ALWAYS fresh and flavorful! The customer service couldn't be better!!We would never consider buying our fish from any other store or market.
Yummers.
I went to Bob's for the very first time this past weekend -- and I will never buy seafood at the grocery store again!!
The service was great -- I was greeted before I even had a chance to "take a number". I was given a tour of the lobster case and ended up purchasing two of the lovely lobbies. I am not a big fan of cooking them on my own, but armed with the 2 pages of instructions/suggestions that they gave me, it was a BREEZE!!
I was also given a short talk on my other favorite -- Chilean Sea Bass -- by Barb.
Best of all, it is only a hop, skip and a jump from my casa in U City.
SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great retail fish store. Great selection of fish. Barb will give you advice on cooking if you ask for it. I particularly like the mussels n season.
best fresh seafood anywhere. i will continue to go to bobs seafood. just dont freeze it it lowers the quality. its a drive for me but worth it. i recomend the plump scallops and shrimp. the location above is wrong it is on olive now. past the 170 interchange. on the right in university city.
Freshest Seafood In The Midwest. I've been buying my seafood at Bob's since he first went into business over twenty years ago. You won't find fresher, higher quality seafood anywhere else in St. Louis. The prices are reasonable and the employees are customer-oriented. Barb is there everyday. Stop in and say hello. You'll wonder how you could have ever gone anywhere else for high quality seafood.
