Avoid at all costs – My boyfriend and I purchased a washer and dryer from the Baden store that came with a 6 month warranty. After I used the dryer ONE time, it quit turning. Since we live in Illinois, Appliance Warehouse will not come service, and my boyfriend had to take it back to them. After 4 days of no returned phone calls, my boyfriend went back over there to check on the dryer and they told them that they were really short handed and that they still needed to order a part for the dryer, and gave him a "loaner" dryer. Now my man is just like most other men when it comes to paying attention to things, but when he brought the "loaner" dryer home, one look inside of it and I knew there was no way I could use the dryer without ruining our clothes. There were some sort of grease marks ALL over the inside of the dryer, grease packed into the cracks around the tumbler blades, covering every square inch. About 10 more unreturned phone calls and he was finally told that our dryer would be ready yesterday. But when he brought it home, IT IS NOT THE SAME DRYER WE ORIGINALLY PURCHASED. They think they are slick. Evidently they tried to tell my boyfriend that someone changed the plug type for some reason they couldn't figure out and they had him take the dryer from the Baden store to the Florissant store to have the plug changed. When he came home, I immediately knew something was wrong because the door opens on the opposite side as the one we originally purchased! Same brand, but different model. I truly believe that Appliance Warehouse just sells these appliances hoping that the warranty runs out before anything goes wrong, and now I know they were giving us the run around and can prove it. I will be telling everyone I know about my experience there, because it was a doosy, and I feel that we aren't done.
Washer broke on a Friday night! – My washing machine quit on a Friday night, like a lot of people I don't have the extra money laying around to just run out and buy a new one. I got on craigslist and found this place. I was impressed with the six month warranty and delivery service available. Went to the Florissant location and bought a brand new washer that had some dents on the sides. They gave me a one year warranty and got it delivered on Saturday morning! They even hauled my old washer away. I paid under $250 for the washer and delivery. My washer works great and everything went smooth. I had the complete opposite of the other review.
BEWARE - DO NOT DO BUS WITH APPL WAREHOUSE – This is a warning for individuals who may be looking at appliances at Appliance Warehouse. They sell appliances without honoring their warrantee. I bought a dishwasher from them and it did not even have a seal in the door - I found out after their repair man came out to service the appliance just after I bought it. Filed a compliant with BBB but even after 3 attempts from BBB, they would not honor their warrantee or refund my money. So I am stuck with a dishwasher that leaks and I am out $$ as they refused my refund request.
