Su Sala NOT La Sala. The only negative is the name is too similar to the old one. Me and my wife tried "La Sala" last year and the reviews were right....horrible! We were told that someone new had bought the place and improved it. They weren't kidding! This place went from a -1 to a 10+ overnight....WOW! I told the owner he should have named it something that wasnt so close to the old name. Anyone that gives this place a bad review must have been there under the old ownership. This place is a jem. Check them out now before the word gets out and it becomes packed everynight. Best Mexican food I have EVER had!

EXCELLENT MEXICAN FOOD. I usually don't write reviews of this sort, but I saw that Su Sala had only received 2 1/2 stars. Apparently there were some previous owners and this place wasn't so good. But my wife and I just went here over the weekend and the food blew away any other Mexican cuisine that we've had in St. Louis. We thought that we were set when we found Mi Ranchito, but Su Sala KOd it on the first round. Their prices are also very reasonable.

NEW Restaurant-NEW Owner. This is a new restaurant under new ownership. I hated the old place, but some of our friends gave the new restaurant good reviews, so we tried it last Friday night (Dec. 4, 2009) I'm happy to report that the food was great, the prices are very reasonable and the owner is super friendly! They had Mexican musicians who made the evening fun. Most tables were filled. Check them out!!

**Check the date of the other 2 reviews - they are referring to the old place.** (Plus I don't think it's very professional of a restaurant to write negative comments on a competitor restaurant while giving a plug for their own. Very poor taste.)

come to mamacita's mexican grill and cantina cheap great food and beer and margaritas. if you want great food and great margaritas go to mamacita's at 6245 gravois, st louis mo 63116 home of the greatest margarita in st louis

worst mexican place in st. louis. the food is very overpriced. the food is terrible. i went there a couple of weeks ago. worst place to eat in st. louis. i should have gone down the street to lilly's. i hear they food is great. spare yourself and go to a lot better mexican resturants. $21.00 for a combo, that is bad for food that really isn't good at all. ishoukd have realized it when i went in and though were no customers in there on a friday night. the tables and chairs were home made and looked unsafe.
