Got a quick tan – I needed a quick tan so I could look good in the wedding party I was to be in. I got one of those spray on deals. Went smooth, no hassles.
If you need to look good quick this is the way to go.
Deplorable Disgusting Salon – I joined this tanning salon in September of 09 because my job is close by and I needed a place to tan on my lunch break. They looked like a decent salon but OH was I mistaking. I used to work at a tanning salon in Atlanta so i know all about memberships and billing clients credit cards but this place is awful. First, I went in on Sept 2nd and signed up for a $60 per month membership so i could use one of the high level beds unlimited. I used a total of 3 beds in that salon and ALL of them had bad bulbs in them. Bulbs are supposed to be changed after 500 hours of use because they start to flickr and go bad. These bulbs probably had about 900 hours on them each. I informed the owner Clint about this and he was RUDE to me. He told me that i must be the one with a problem if I am not getting any color and stated that the bulbs were perfectly fine. I was furious but said nothing and the next day I went back to tan again and the bed had lotion all over it from somebody else which tells me that IT WAS NO CLEAN. If you dont want to catch a rash or disease then do not tan here. I was so mad that I demanded that they cancel my membership. I was told I would not be billed again and then what do you know... We get into October and MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED AGAIN. Not only am I filing a compaint with the better business bureau, I am calling my bank to have the funds reversed. Clint is horroble and this salon is disgusting. Do not do business with them.
Great Place! – My wife tans often and we decided to try a new place when the staff at her usual tanning joint became really mean. Stopped in, I went next door for ice cream and she fell in love with the staff and the beds. They let me try it out for free one night and I enjoy it too. Good people to work with.
Horrible Management and Ownership! – Entered into 2-month contract October 2008. Notified business I would be freezing the account November 2008. Business continually advised me to complete freeze closer to the date of freezing the account. On November 13, 2008, I signed a freeze agreement with an employee named Clayton, who has since been terminated. Received a call in February 2009 from manager Clint. Clint requested new credit card information. I questioned if the account was continuing to be charged. Clint indicated that a mistake had been made, and added, "Looks like someone will be tanning for free this summer." I accepted this concession by the manager, and the account was to be frozen per my request. The manager did not indicate that a freeze agreement needed to be signed at that time. Two months later, April 20, 2009, I noticed I was still being charged $60 per month for a service I was not using and had submitted multiple requests to be frozen. The salon asked me to produce paperwork proving a freeze, which was not given to me at the time I froze the account initially in November, then again in February. The business has done a poor job in managing this situation. I have been charged now $300 for a service I have not used, I have been hung up on, the manager has ignored my calls, the manager even threatened to have me removed from the store when I requested him to call the owner. I would like a full refund for all charges beyond the two-month contract. The original freeze was to be completed by an employee who has been let go, but the business is still responsible for his actions. His competence as an employee, as expresssed to me by the manager, was inadequate.
Love the beds! – Wow...the new beds and Versaspa are awesome! My girl loves to spray tan and I love to lay in those hot beds. They are much better to work with than other salons we have tried. Keep up the great work!
Horrible service! No respect! – yes Clint is so pushy! RUDE
He has no respect and is fake. He probably did write that review becuase he knows that no one likes it there anymore. too bad clint! ahahaa
PUSHY TO THE EXTREME – is that last post supposed to be a joke? sounds like it was written by clint himself. This place WOULD be great if it werent for how pushy they are. I have never met anyone more pushy and annoying than clint, the magnager. He pressures people SO much and absolutely refuses to take no for an answer. I also have a few friends that used to tan there but couldnt stand it so cancelled their membership (after trying to cancel with clint twice one of the girls finally went when he wasnt there and was able to cancel with a slightly less pushy sales girl). it really is sad that this tanning salon is losing members because of pushy sales people because it is a nice facility- very clean and good beds. Honestly i have to hand it to clint because he is amazing at sales but its taken to an unbearable extreme for managing a tanning salon. its so clear that the new employees are being trained to be pushy and its just not the way to go if you want to keep customers. no means no and im sick of getting to the point of yelling at these people for them to get it. I would not recommend this tanning salon.
The customer matters again! Finally Quality Service and Value! – I have tanned almost everywhere in our area and the service has never been up to my standard. After noticng the new signage at Signature Tan near Olive and 270 at Tempo I thought I try it out for some more of the same senseless girls pushing needless products, and an unsatisfactory experience.
I was wrong.
Yes, they had the young girls. Yes they sell product. But they know what they are selling. They don't make me feel obligated to buy. The young girl that helped me was not only friendly, but knowledgeable. The manager showed me a new UV-Free system that is unlike any I have tried in the area. He answered all of my questions and didn't rush me. They also had two brand new tanning beds in the first two rooms unlike anything I have seen in St. Louis and I was informed that they were just waiting for the electrician to hook them up. The best part is that my new membership at Signature actually costs me less than my old one at the Tan Co. and its FREE to join.
I would recommend Signature to anyone. Try it!
