EXTREMELY BAD DELIVERY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
We placed an order for $5,500.00 on August 31st, for Labor Day sales. Over the phone, we were guaranteed a delivery within 3 weeks but it should be sooner.
We received a shipment notice on Sept 13th but it was just the beginning of lies and nightmares for us. We had daily contact with Goedeker's. Every day since then, they told us that that our order will be picked up the same day by freight forwarder and take a week to be delivered to us. We have asked for a resolution and alternative in freight forwarder but nothing was done to fulfill request. There is no progress on the status of our order. The customer service is not only terrible but also incompetent. I even have cc'd the President of the company bit either he doesn't care or he has too many of these requests to attend to!
They claim on their website to have the best customer service and do the best of their ability to make their customer happy; 2 solutions then, either they lie or they really are incompetent; or maybe a lot of both!
We are still waiting for our order to leave their warehouse at this time.
We are renovating our apartment and the delayed delivery caused delay in the kitchen buildout, extra expenses not only to our contractor but also toward our rent as we will have to stay one more month in our current apartment.
We are extremely disappointed to have received customer service like this, especially when they advertise so widely their customer service and Christian values.
TERRIBLE COMPANY -- SCAM ARTISTS
Do yourself a favor, and order from somewhere else. They tout on their website "100% satisfaction guaranteed", then do NOTHING to satisfy the customer. My item arrived from a separate company in a flimsy, beat up box with dents on it. "Customer Service" told me I'm "not allowed" to return an item once I get it (?) which of course is a load of crap.
I talked to a customer service rep.... received no help ... then was connected to a supervisor ... and received no help. In fact, I found out they do NOT provide return shipping labels, and charge a 25% hidden "restocking fee" to return your item. In a pathetic attempt to get me to keep a product I didn't want, the supervisor flat-out lied to me on the phone, saying it cost them over $100 to ship the item to me, when the item itself cost $90!!! How would they make a profit, if that were the case!?! She said she 'did me a favor and looked up the cost of return shipping, and it wouldn't be worth it for me to return it.'. I did my own research and it only cost $17 to FedEx the item back.
Don't bother writing to "Steve", the company's owner. His email is listed on their website with a friendly-looking photo (probably catfish) inviting people to write him anytime. So I did. I got a short-worded response from somebody who was NOT Steve saying he's happy to reduce the return shipping costs to a whopping $15. Two-dollar savings. WOW, what a guy.
Do yourself a favor and order from a legitimate company. The peace of mind you'll get from the extra dollars you'll spend elsewhere are well worth the price. These people have no business being in the service industry.
I received excellent service a few years ago when I bought a clothes washer and dryer from Goedeker's. Now we are renovating our kitchen . I performed extensive research to find the best deal for the five appliances I need and ended up saving over $700 compared to the closest competitor. The customer service I received was simply outstanding. I wanted a new double oven which they did not carry so I called them. Within 2 hours they had researched the oven and added it to their database. I was amazed to get that return call so quickly.
After researching...we purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Goedekers. The difference in price from our local Sears was $700.00! Sure we had to wait a little longer for it to ship to us...but that was no big deal. Communication and status updates were terrific throughout the process. I will buy from them again...without a doubt. I'd also like to say that it's awesome to see a company who espouses Christian values proudly...it was a big part in our decision to buy from them.
Great prices. Very responsive to queries. Prompt delivery. Everything arrived in less than 3 weeks in perfect condition. We couldn't ask for more.
Beware, this is a mom and pop operation masquerading as a national retailer. If you appliances arrive damaged (if they arrive at all) you are pretty much on your own. Ordered 4 appliances, 3 arrived damaged. The microwave I ordered had a huge dent in it that was not discovered until the contractor unpacked. Goedekers refused to replace or refund. I was told that they would send me a new cover for it or I could pay to return their damaged product and pay a 20% restocking fee to return it. Don't believe what this company says about their corporate values, I have dealt with more ethical used car dealerships.
I purchased a GE Profile double oven .. Great price .. Delivery was timely, undamaged and matched my order. I was very pleased.
Excellent service from start to finish. I will use Goedeker's again should I need an appliance in the future.
As previous reviewer stated, BEWARE if your appliances arrived damaged. The company that delivers will tell you don't worry if anything is damaged as they will replace. NOT TRUE. They do rush the delivery as well. Did not discover damage until installer was fully unpacking. Microwave has HUGE dent in it.... Goedekers says sorry you didn't note that upon delivery. Box had rip in it, mentioned it to delivery company who assured us it would be fine. They offered to order a new case from Samsung and a $25 credit, told us to get fixed....I'm not even sure this thing will work if plugged in and frankly I am kind of afraid to based on how it looks.....I would suggest you get their white glove delivery, this way you can get everything unpacked while the delivery company is there. Has anyone tried to quickly unpack a dishwasher, stove and microwave curbside so you can fully inspect before delivery company leaves in five minutes? -- Good luck.
Purchased a dishwasher & range, both came in damaged (hidden, could see untill ready to install). Called and was told GE had to handle the exchange or repair. Called GE and had to wait a week for a service perosn to come out. Have to take off work to meet them today. I was told that after the appliances are evaluated it can take another 2-3 weeks for new ones to arrive. Beware if your appliances are damaged, they do nothing to help. Spent hours on the phone. Also there is no way to track your order. Their delivery people are in a huge hurry and don't really give you a chance to take a good look at the appliances when they are delivered.
