A STEAK WITH YOUR NAME ON IT, IS WAITING FOR YOU!. Tucker's is a wonderful place to bring the family for a yummy dinner or to go out for late night drinks with friends. The warm surroundings transform as the daylight changes into the laughter of Tucker's nightlife! I suggest this restaurant to everyone that I know and run into at the retail building across the way. When I see these customers again, they regale with mouth-watering stories of the giant burgers with cheese melting down the side, or the steaks that can't be possible described with words, taste will only suffice, even the baked potato is amazing! And if at all possible stop off at the bar for a special drink called "Sex with an Alligator"! It is beautiful, tasty, and you will be very happy you did!!! LSE

terrible phone manors. While I can't speak of the food, or the table service, the man other end of the phone was very rude and not helpful. I called to buy a bottle of wine for my parents (to be sent to their table) for thier anniversary. My first call resulted in frustration as I was told they don't take reservations for eight people, but he didn't even step away to look! My second call was two-and-a-half minutes without an answer. I called right back, and finally the same guy answered a minute later. He did fulfil my request, but was very unfriendly again, and abrupt. Basically I got hung up on!

Honest steak house and honest steaks. I go to tuckers in west county whenever I goto St. Louis. I can get a black and tan and a good steak.

There is an "insiders" track to the place, you gotta know what to ask for.

For example, there is a 14oz ribeye that is not on menu.

I enjoy the atmosphere.

Every steak I've gotten has been at least as big as advertised. Also, the steaks aren't thin to make them look bigger.

Any place that the menu says that the cook is not responsible for steaks cooked past medium is a win for me.

It's just your good honest steak house that doesn't need to be perfect

Great Steaks, Poor Customer Service. Great Steaks, Great Price. Didn't really hang out for drinks, or to see what the crowd was like. My only gripes: 1. The waitress kept mentioning price when I didn't want a Potato or veggies. The steaks are dirt cheap compared to what I pay at Robust or Citizen Canes. The only reason I took no offense, because I used to work in Food Services as well.....in high school about 15 years ago ;)

2. Homosexually flaming Bus Boy. Sorry but this person needs to lose their jobs, We left a 20% tip on a $60 meal even after hearing the "prices" mentioned several times. I overheard this person walk away and say "well at least they left a tip" and laugh in a really flaming gay sort of way. Sorry but I hope you lose your job over that. The last thing you want to do in St.Louis, is promote or tolerate that kind of behavior in a place of business, yet a family style restaurant my parents used to bring us when we were kids.

Great steaks though, the only reason I'm going back.

Overrated. Tucker's steaks aren't bad, but it's certainly not the place you'd want to take someone for the best steak in town. The bar is also populated by a low-end crowd that gathers to gawk at the bartenders.

Best Steak Anywhere!. Tuckers has the best steak period. It is better than the top notch retaurants in Vegas, LA, and Chicago.

I highly recommend it. The portions are huge and the steak is grilled to perfection. I don't want to write a whole lot in fear of it becoming too popular.

Great Place. The best SteakHouse at any price, even though Tuckers prices are very reasonable. Drink and wine prices are also a great bang for the buck. Try the pizza and bugers to. You cant go wrong.

Best for the money at any price. My family dined at Tuckers Place West. t This place is RIGHTFULLY popular for its great steaks and well delivered service. I ordered the 16oz Strip ($18.85) my wife got the 8oz Filet ($17.85). Each dinner included a huge baked potato ( REAL BUTTER &SOUR CREAM) and a dinner salad. The steaks were cooked perfectly and ate as good or better than any high dollar prime steakhouse that I have dined in. My kids had great freash pizza better than any chain. Highy recommened.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Great <inexpensive> Steaks!. We've been going to Tucker's for years, the steaks are some of the best and most value priced around town. The wait <kills> on the weekends, but it's worth standing elbow to elbow in the bar waiting for the food. You'll leave with a doggie bag and have spare cash to boot. During the spring time, make sure you sit outside, it's great.

GREAT steaks. Tuckers is mouch more than a neighborhood grill. Excellent chops, steak, and fish. The servings are not huge unless you order the big steak or pork chops. Be sure to try the lemon pepper salad dressing, it's out of this world.

Seating is difficult any night of the week, mostly just because it's THAT GOOD. Hang out by the bar and wait for your table, it's well worth the wait.
