give it a try, you won't regret it!. I feel the need to speak up here, as the owner is a friend and has been my stylist for over 12 years. She has worked so very hard, at her previous place of employment and with her current business. She is the most devoted person in this field that I have ever come across. The salon is very clean, always full of happy, cheerful stylists and clients. The previous poster "watchingu", is a former worker at the salon and apparently the path of destruction he left behind simply wasn't enough. The owner was nothing but kind and trusting in 'watchingu" and he chose a path of deceit and dishonesty. He and his boyfriend (or as they called each other their "wives") could have put in 2 weeks notice and moved on.....still scratching my head as to why this all has happened. As I said before, this is a very professional salon. It is not pretentious as some of the higher end salons in St. Louis. You come as you are and leave looking amazing. Please disregard such silly and nasty reviews. You won't regret a trip to Salonspa Fresh.
Wonderful Experience!!!. I would have to disagree with the other reveiw, sounds like someone who has a personal issue with the salon. This salon has more charm than any that I have been to. It is very quaint with a boutique like feel. They offer Aveda products and give the best scalp massage ever. I first went there to have my hair done for a wedding and fell in love! The owner was actually qiute nice and even did my eyebrow arch for free.
BAD, BAD, BAD!!!. I stumbled upon this place when I went to the great bakery at the end of the strip center. I went in to look around and noticed they carry some great products so I decided to make an appointment. The young lady at the front desk was taking down my information, but seemed to be distracted by the noise coming from the wall behind her. There was a lady on the phone using profanity, "in the middle of the salon". The receptionist could tell by the look on my face I was shocked. There were clients in chairs having their hair done, and then there was this lady on the phone. I asked what that was about and she said "the owner was just mad!" I was even more shocked to find out this was the owner. How unprofessional could she have been! It seemed she was on the phone with clients, bad mouthing some employees of hers. I told the young lady who was helping me with my appointment, never mind, I would go somewhere else. I am currently in school studying law, first year, and I know she was in the wrong. Not only to subject the employees and clients in her salon to this, but to be speaking the way she was about her employees. I am glad this happened before I had my hair done and became attached to a new sylist! It definately showed me the "true character" of the owner. The salon didn't seem to be very busy, I wondered why, now I know. Good luck to anyone who decides to take the risk, it is really too bad, because it was cute, looking from the outside in. I suppose looks can really be deceiving.
