This park remains one of west county's finest family destinations..
The Skinny
Leicester and Mary Plant Faust donated the property for the park in 1968, hence the name. Today, Faust Park contains a variety of attractions, some historical, some purely fun. The most visited is probably the Carousel; formerly located at the old Forest Park Highlands amusement park, it moved to Faust Park in 1987 after extensive renovation. The Butterfly House is also popular. The Historic Village contains 10 homes from the years 1840 to 1888. You can view the homes from the outside during the week; on weekends, historical reenactors lead tours and demonstrations of blacksmithing, weaving and more. You can also tour Thornhill, the home of Missouri's second governor. The west county branch of the St. Louis Symphony Music School is here too.
