Over priced and picked over food.. 4-1-11 we went to Dinner at Home Town Buffet in Bridgeton. Being Friday and lent we thought they would have good fish but the fried fish was left over from lunch it tasted like. The baked fish was smelly and tasted bad. The fried chicken was good. Some kids were handling the food with their hands. My wife and I both had upset tummy’ when we got home. We will not return to Hometown Buffet.
food pretty good, service sometimes good, overpriced??. Provides lots of choices and plenty of food. We like to go occasionally in the evening when very hungry. Service is sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Tables are close together and there's lots of noise but ok for a family outing. Cashier/receptionest is frequently slow, especially if there are coupons involved and makes more mistakes than they should. Lunches are definitely overpriced unless you really like to eat a huge lunch. Breakfasts are also "ok"; again, there are plenty of food to choose from.
Self-service restaurant satisfies budget-conscious families with all-you-can-eat, all-American home-style cooking..
In Short
A strip-mall mainstay throughout U.S. suburbs, this buffet-style restaurant caters to ravenous families who pay a flat per-head fee for all the comfort food they can chow down. Serving stations present everything from fried chicken to shrimp scampi, macaroni and cheese to steamed veggies. A do-it-yourself dessert bar allows diners to make their own sugary indulgence from a supply of brownies and cakes, syrupy toppings and multiple flavors of soft-serve ice cream.
avoid eating there 7 days a week. over prised and powdered mixes are used instead of real food. Trust me I know.
Overpriced. The food here is pretty good, it just seemed a bit pricey for a regular home-style buffet.
