Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

This hotel in the heart of the city is a model of old-fashioned elegance.. History
Designed in 1925, the Mayfair is a St. Louis landmark. It not only provides top-flight meeting facilities but also offers a variety of packages to fit any occasion.

Celebrity Chivalry
For an anniversary or birthday, surprise your sweetie with the Cary Grant Romance Package, which includes chocolate-covered strawberries, a bottle of chilled champagne, Godiva chocolates and breakfast for two. Grant unwittingly started this practice in the 1950s when, as a hotel guest, he laid a trail of chocolates from the living room to the bed, then to the pillow. The manager was so impressed with this touch, the hotel began putting chocolates on each guest's pillow. The practice quickly spread among hotels.

Luxuries
Toiletries from Bath and Body Works and plush bathrobes are but a few of the extras standard here. Within walking distance of all downtown attractions, the Mayfair is more than fair.

good hotel--great price. How do so many people have such bad opinions of this place?!?! I stayed here for two nights and it was great. A two room suite that was a hearty size, a nice king size bed, and a friendly staff.

It's a 5 minute walk to good places to eat, but loved the time there!

Vintage Comfort and Service. We stayed at two hotels on our trip, the Mayfair was definately the BEST. Our room was spacious with a setting room, bedroom, separate dressing area. The beds were VERY comfortable. Internet Access in the rooms (for an additional fee). The desk in the setting room had a professional office chair that was extremely comfortable for work. (Can I take it HOME With ME?) There wasn't a view, but we had outside activities planned for our whole trip, we didn't even have time to use the swimming pool. In the evening, we walked to the Arch and to dinner. We took the light Metro train everywhere we wanted to go, it was only 2 blocks away. Although the staff didn't really have any recommended places to go or chocolates on the pillows, they went BEYOND the call of DUTY to assure that personnally we had whatever we needed!!
