If you think moving SUCKED before DONT USE DOOR TO DOOR. Liars: beware I contracted Door to Door in June of 2009 to move from Huntington Beach, CA to St Louis MO, I initially wanted to ship the container in June but the rep Darla said it would be cheaper to store for 6 months and ship in December when shipping rates were at their lowest: I agreed and got a quote for the move $966. I called late November 2009 to arrange delivery and no one called me back 2 weeks later i find out they never had a receiver on the St Louis end, 28 days later they found a company that would do it for 1600$ but for me they would discount to 1250$ I said i was quoted 966$ thats what Im paying. They said no, their website says they service this area, but they dont. I resigned a contract in January 2010 until I could talk to a lawyer about this, and my monthly rate went down, well that 6 months is up and I just received a email from the president of the company that they found the note listed in my account from June of 2009 for 966$ they gave me a week to pay for the move, or it would be shipped to another facility

These people are liars, they arrange moves without having contacts in your relocation area: then they play on emotion: peoples stuff is sentimental to them so they have the power: they have your stuff

Find a different storage company. Door to Door has extremely lousy customer support. Their billing is horrendous, if you do not go through your credit card bill with a fine-tooth comb, you will not realize the number of random charges are made to your account. Call billing and these charges will be automatically refunded and they will have no clue what the charge was about to begin with. Moreover, the sales team is extremely responsive till they have your order. After that, forget about getting a phone message returned or questions answered. The only thing that seemed positive is that the women at Door To Door are much better at calling/emailing and taking care of a problem than the males. So pray for a woman to answer the phone, if you are in a sticky situation :)!!!

Pros: Thankfully some employees still care....

Cons: Sales team only to make a sale, rates quoted are not final rates, random charges on credit card
