Located on the 28th floor of the Millennium Hotel, the Top of the Riverfront is the city's only rooftop revolving restaurant. A St. Louis favorite since 1969, the Top of the Riverfront features distinctive regional American cuisine and offers spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Gateway Arch. It is open for dinner only Tuesday through Saturday and features the city's most popular Sunday brunch. …
Not a big deal. A big disappointment. I wanted a special night for my wedding anniversary and was saddened by the atmosphere. I thought the view would be great, only to find out windows were dirty and the restaurant was just okay. Nothing fancy at all. The menu looked wonderful online and the food was good, but lacked flare. We realized that my husband could cook a better steak at home. I will never go back. A waste of good money.
Bottom Of The River.
Visiting from out of town (London UK)
Just got back from a Valentines meal. The food was really bad, the dinner rolls were like something you would find at Ponderosa. The starters were okay apart from the bread was a little stale. The salads were good though. The entree's were Barramundie and Fillet of Beef. The fish was pan seared (over cooked) and tasted like it had been deep fried. The fillet of beef turned up looking like meat loaf, the meat was good and cooked well but was huge.
The deserts were awful, deep fried banana (yuk) and what was meant to be a cheese cake but tasted nothing like a cheese cake. It was dry, tastless and down right nasty...and served with a chocolate cookie??????
Did we leave the restaurant feeling happy and content????
NO we left feeling totally ripped off for $220.00!!!
Would I eat here again, well they would have to fire the so called chef first before I would even attempt to eat what they call food!
To sum up, Top Of The Riverfront is Bottom Of The River.
Thank you for sharing your dining experience! I was saddened to read about your dissatisfaction you had with our special menu for Valentine's Day. This four course menu did cost more than our regular dinner menu and I hope the next time you are back you can taste our St. Louis Pepper Steak or Duck Tacos. We pride ourselves on our holiday menus and appreciate these comments to ensure the quality of our food and customer service stay on point.
For special occasions. This is the best place to go in st. louis for a special occasion. You simply cannot beat the atmosphere. To be able to rotate around and see all of st louis is spectacular! The food is very good! The only downside is the price - you need to budget for a meal here but it is worth it!
Amazing View and Really Good Brunch. I received a coupon in the mail for the Top. My family loves Sunday Brunch. so decided to take them to the revolving restaurant the last time they came in town. I had never been there before but heard good things. I was really impressed with how many options they had to serve. From waffles to omelettes to fancy meats to yummy desserts, my family was pleased with the variety. The price might scare you off but you are getting your money's worth in food and the view. I will definitely come back and try their dinner sometime.
Don't waste your time!!!.
I had to write this review because before we went, I checked out the other reviews and thought it would be great. Please don't waste your time!!
I am not accustomed to going to fancy restaurants, but was excited to finally go to this one (the view was mostly what I was looking forward to). Let me tell you ... this restaraunt is waaaayyyy past its prime. Everything from the shabby carpet, bathrooms, uniforms, and employees. Our waitress was very nice and did everything correctly, but the other wait staff looked worn out. Their uniforms were worn out too. The appetizer was good, my steak was way overcooked. The grime on the windows was noticed after seeing a big black ro* ach crawl down the window as I was eating my overcooked steak. Overall, I was pretty disgusted. I would expect this restaurant to be at least as clean as our local TGI Fridays, or Applebees, but it wasn't... trust me!!! (It's odd that this review won't let me write the word ro * achwithout the * - HUH?)
GREAT DATE NIGHT EXPERIENCE. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. YOU'LL BE SURE TO IMPRESS HER.. I TOOK MY GIRLFRIEND ON SATURDAY 8-16-08 FOR HER BIRTHDAY. OUR FIRST TIME. DECOR INSIDE WAS OLD AND NEEDED A LITTLE SPRUCING UP. THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING. OUR WAITER WAS GREAT. THE MENU WAS A THREE COURSE MENU $25 PER PERSON INCLUDING AN APPETIZER OR SALAD, AN ENTREE, AND A DESERT. I GOT OUT OF THEIR SPENDING UNDER $70 BUCKS WITHOUT TIP AFTER I HAD A BEER AND SHE HAD A GLASS OF WINE. I HAD A GOAT CHEESE AND MUSHROOM STRUDEL, A PRIME RIB, AND A BAKALAVA CHOCOLATE BROWNIE WITH ICECREAM. THE STRUDEL WAS GREAT UNLIKE ANYTHING I'D EVER HAD BEFORE, PRIME RIB WAS AVERAGE, AND BAKALAVA BROWNIE WAS AWESOME. MY GIRLFRIEND HAD AN APPLE SOUP, TUTOMORE PASTA WITH SHRIMP AND CRAB, AND CREME BRUELLE. SHE SAID THE SOUP WAS OK, PASTA WAS AVERAGE, AND CREME BRUELLE WAS WORSE THAN INSTANT PUDDING. OVERALL I HAD A GOOD MEAL BUT MIGHT TRY A DIFFERENT ENTREE. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF HER CHOICES.
Great Food, Great views- pricey, but you have to expect that from a restaurant like this.
We showed up without a reservation (4 of us) and the hostess was very accommodating. They fit us into the schedule and we all had steaks of varying types. the portions were plentiful and the steaks were great. Great presentation on the plate, as well.
The view was outstanding and within 90 minutes you can see a 360 degree view of the city.
Too bad the last diner had a bad experience, but ours was fine.
Terrible food and horrible customer service!. My husband and I went here for his 30th birthday. It was the worst experience ever! The water glasses were dirty and something was floating in the water. The food was horrific! We ordered two 14oz New York Strip Steaks with potatoes and vegetables. The steak were extremely tough and distasteful and the potatoes were disgusting! My husband and I both vomitted when we got home. We called when we got home to complain about the food. The director mentioned there was nothing he could do. This was the worst experience ever. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Beware!
VERY UNIQUE. Great brunch with a revolving view of the city. Takes about an entire brunch for a full revolution. Best when someone else pays!
Great Experience!. Great view! Good food. Fun STL experience. We loved the brunch...tons of food. Our service and server were wonderful. We had a good time. Definitely would recommend for visitors to STL.
