City diners don't get more classic than this.. The Scene
Ah, the unmistakable sounds of an American diner. Find comfort in the sizzling of pancake batter as it's poured onto the griddle, the rhythmic thunks of pinball flippers and the muted crooning of Garth or Patsy or Wynonna on the jukebox. A weathered waitress hands you a coffee-stained menu and stands with pencil poised to take your drink order. This is life at the Eat-Rite Diner.

The Food
Hearty breakfasts are served at all hours, and they're just plain delicious. Try a lofty stack of pancakes or light, floury biscuits liberally blanketed with country gravy. If you drop in for lunch or dinner, Eat-Rite has some great values: a double hamburger is just 2 bucks, and a chicken-fried steak or barbecue pork sandwich is under $3. Full meals aren't much pricier: You can order a fried chicken breast filet with two side dishes for less than $5. You'll find the pace a little slower and the food a little simpler at the Eat-Rite, but that might be just what you need after a demanding day or a sleepless night.
