In Short – BB's, as the name implies, is fervently dedicated to honoring and promoting local blues. The club has played host to a Who's Who of St. Louis blues royalty, including country blues legend Henry Townsend and Howlin' Wolf sax player Oliver Sain. Monday nights often bring the Sessions Big Band, a loose consortium of brass musicians. A menu of homey favorites--burgers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches and, yes, soups--keeps patrons' stomachs as satisfied as their ears. –

Good Music

BB's is a good place to listen to some live music and have a drink or 3. I went on a Friday night at 10pm, and all of the tables by the stage were taken, so we had to listen from the bar for a bit while we waited for some seats to open up. The music was very enjoyable, and the bartenders were quick and polite. The average age of the crowd was around 30, with a few younger groups and a few older groups. There was a mix of couples and groups of friends as well. The band played until 2:30 AM, but it seemed to get a lot less crowded after 12-1 or so.
