BATHROOMS UPGRADE PLEASE!??. Both toilet seat's (which i moved around with toilet paper in hand btw) were just held on by like one bolt and seemed like they would fall off at ne point. i was gonna say something to manager but they were really busy. the rest of the bathroom was ok? but seriously the employees at these places are sooooo oblivious to these simple fixes. Ediots... and the bacon on food was like those thin Microwave pieces haha ne ways
Houlihan's is the best.
I have enjoyed every dish I've eaten at Houlihan's. Especially the beautiful and delicious lunch. When it was set before me, I was very pleasantly surprised at how professional (like a magazine shot) the dish looked. Just the perfect amounts, too, and arranged perfectly. The dressing on the small salad was the most amazing taste - salt, citrus and oil, I think. A real POP of flavor! A manager named Jonathan prepared it and I'd have given him a high five if I could have!
I've also eaten at the one in Carbondale, IL and loved the whole experience, including the tiny cocktail samplers and the array of desserts. One time, Nicholas, prepared a salmon dinner for me and I thought it was the best I'd ever tasted. The wait staff is always so polite and caring, too.
You can tell that the cooks take pride in everything they turn out.
I wish we had a Houlihan's in central Illinois
Good Experience.
Stayed at the Marriot at Union Station. The Houlihan's is also here. Stopped in for lunch. Great bartender Brian was fun, energetic, social, and just an all around good bartender. Ask for his lemonade. He makes it fresh every day. He sqeezes it fresh every day he works.
Great food, good service, but not that busy. Seems Union Station isn't a big spot for folks in St Louis. It should be though.
Kansas-based restaurant started in 1972 entices 30-somethings and families with a flashy menu, inventive drinks and chic, but accessible, decor..
In Short
Considered a founding father of American casual dining, Houlihan's transformed its once-kitschy decor and meat-and-potatoes menu into a contemporary restaurant serving eclectic cuisine. Geared toward a slightly more upscale crowd, warmer colors and modern art adorn the walls, while Indie rock tunes and a patio leading to a walk-around bar remind you that you're not in Kansas anymore. The globetrotting menu juxtaposes classic burgers and wings with innovative selections like tuna wontons and herb-cheese stuffed mushrooms.
Great Dining for a Business Traveler. I worked in downtown St Louis for about 6 months. I found myself eating at Houlihan's at least 3-4 times per week for lunch and/or dinner. Great variety of food and the quality is solid. I've yet to have a bad meal. I highly recommend the Southwestern Wrap, it's awesome. BBQ Ribs are also a solid bet.
