Hospitality Always on the Menu at the Home of Bye Bye Liver. Spacious and clean. Great food. The service staff is top-notch and it's home to St. Louis' new favorite pasttime, Bye Bye Liver: The St. Louis Drinking Play!

Get there early on Saturday nights for this side-splitting bit of alcohol-infused comedy, or anytime at all for great drink specials and the best sports fans in St. Louis.

Good times good service. I had a great time there and all of the servers and bar tenders were very friendly and ready to help. It was a great atmosphere and a lot of fun!

Great Barbeque and Cold Beer. This is the place for you if you enjoy a good slab of ribs and a cold draft beer. A previous review mentioned sub-par barbeque but i've been there a million times and have never had a similar experience. Basically, in St. Louis, you'd be hard pressed to find any better ribs, pulled pork or pork steaks (which they served after their annual golf outing and were the best I've ever had). The rest of the menu is just as tasty....try the O'Hennessey the next time you're down there if you don't believe me. Plus, while you're enjoying your meal, basically any sporting event you want to watch is on one of their many TVs. This is the place to go downtown.

Go elsewhere for good food in St. Louis. I can only assume that Maggie O'Brien exists out of convenience and to a smaller degree the decent ribs they have. And beer, I'm sure the beer helps. Other than that, dedicate your time to other better restaurants in St. Louis, Maggies happens to be in the middle of a bunch of hotels and most likely attracts those who haven't ventured out very far. I stopped in the first time I was in St. Louis and got the ribs which were OK (fatty but w/ good St. Louis style BBQ sauce). My wife and I stopped in just today becuase it was close to the hotel and the food was terrible. My pulled pork sandwitch was pretty much all fat, no meat, the toasted ravioli was average, the side salad was all iceburg and my wife's quesadilla had provel in it, a cheese us non St. Louisians do not enjoy. I won't be coming here again.

Downtown's biggest sports bar still packs them in with big-screen TVs and cheap eats.. In Short
Always popular among hospitality-industry workers and SLU students, dingy Maggie O'Brien's serves up greasy nachos and burgers to night owls and Union Station tourists. The vast space is adorned with Celtic memorabilia and TVs, and includes a dance floor and a back room with video games, billiards and darts. Big crowds amass during Cards and Rams games, though the bar's most notable event is the sidewalk party following downtown's St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Mediocre at Best. I've eatin at Maggie's quite a few times as it was near my hotel home for about 6 months. For quite some time, I continued to go to Maggie's with hopes of getting a good meal. After probably 10 visits, I finally gave up and refuse to eat here. I mainly focused on their fish meals, which always sounded good, but were almost always pretty bad. The tuna, was consistently cooked Well-done, even after asking them to be cooked medium rare. I described one meal and fish with popcorn seasoning, tasted aweful.
