Great place to get Shanked!. Lots of crime inside and outside this bar. frequent stabbings and other violent crimes. you have better choices in town.

Undercover Cops. If you go to the complex be aware that there are undercover cops all over. My friend was nearly got gotten by one of them. They seem sort of cool, but definatly are scetchy you can spot them out. I had 3 admit they were police to me last night. Watch your back at the Complex.

A variety of rooms serves many moods.. In Short
The Complex brings features a variety of rooms to suit different tastes, from a dark basement bar to the flashy Probe's disco to a side billiards room. It also houses a restaurant, which serves simple, reasonably priced fare. There's even an outdoor sand volleyball pit for the summer months. Inside, it gets pretty loud, with the bump-bump of the dance club, especially on weekends, when the population is spiked by plenty of non-gay folks looking for a good beat.

the best gay bar in st. louis. It's definitely the best gay bar in St. Louis......and not only because the competition is sadly non-existent. Drink special on thursday, drag shows on tuesday and sunday, very crowded on sathurday and, oddly enough, pretty dead on friday.

St.Louis needs to open some new clubs!

Too Crowded. The bar was too crowded, there was no room to dance. The staff was very friendly and I did meet some great guys.

Good bar for the area, but..... The cOmplex is a nice bar considering it's in the location of St. Louis. However, the Complex is not a great bar. When things break (ie the video monitors) they are NEVER fixed. The music is good, but the transitions are sometimes horrible (there's usually at least one moment in which it sounds like the DJ abruptly cuts off the music). STill, I will admit the songs played individually were good. All in all, a decent bar with much room for improvement.

However, the food is still pretty good if you go there to eat.
