A pastry shop in the heart of Soulard Market..
Tucked Away
Walk inside the columned south entrance to the Soulard Farmers Market and you will find a small bakery on your left. Tucked away under a hanging "Lemonade" sign, Soulard Bakery has just a couple of display cases where you can pick up fresh cookies, croissants, pastries, and loaves of bread. This is no chain or strip mall operation. It's a small shop full of farmers market charm where an apple turnover is labeled an "apple thingy."
Lunch to Go
If you visit the Farmers Market and get hungry, stop by Soulard Bakery for a hot ham and cheese croissant. They have lemonade and bottled water to quench your thirst. Their little chocolate chip cookies are perfect for snacking while you wander through the stalls.
