I <3 the DJs
by PartyJen at Citysearch
No matter what this place has enough people to be fun. I been here during snow storms and workers show up from other bars. It must be the DJs. They always seem to have our songs to dance or Karaoke to on Tuesdays.
I like the party they have on the weekends! I was shocked when I came in during the day and it was a restaurant. Who knew! The happy hour was a great time with no DJs :(
- Pros: music and strong shots
- Cons: no DJs on monday or sunday nights
Best party bus stop
by Fry Guy at Citysearch
No cover on the weekends makes this are usual first destination. Start the night with buckets and bomb shots.
Went to a charity benefit up stairs a couple times. Bring cans of food or coats and get a drink discount. They had a buffet with nice wings, cheese sticks and fried pickles.
I do not even try to order drinks at the packed first floor bar. I go upstairs or outside.
I also get an extra drinking night on the week I was born. Thursday they celebrate everyones birthday from that week and allow them to drink for free. Free celebration is always welcome during that week.
- Pros: no cover, upstairs and patio
- Cons: First floor gets too packed
Historic party spot for StL
by davewookiee at Citysearch
In this historic bar the Monday through Friday happy hour till 7 is the big draw. Half priced appitizers, beer buckets and oversized shots have won over people for years. The best night being Tuesday for half priced burgers then Karaoke.
During the day Big Daddy's is a hangout bar with a large beer garden and upstairs lounge during the week. It is the place to meet friends and catch a shuttle to a Cardinals or Rams game. Also, I can show visitors what a St. Louis nieborhood bar looks like after the A-B tour. Reasonably priced buckets of beer and strong drinks are standard during the week. Anything from the grill, roast beef (roasted there) sandwich "cadillac" and wings are the best bets on the regular menu (eat for under $7). The rest is a matter of taste, like mushrooms with baby shrimp, or just good quality deep fried bar food. I have had some exellent lunch and dinner specials there.
The weekend nights can get overpacked with people.
- Pros: Best Happy Hour till 7!
- Cons: Strictly PARTY BAR inside after 9 pm Tues-Sat.
