They have great food from the bread all the way to the dessert. The food is so good and I have never had a bad meal. They made a special meal for my son and it was simple....chicken & a side of pasta. The chicken melted in your mouth.....never have I had chicken taste that good!

Great food and service. My wife and travel to St Louis 2 times a year, we always have dinner here. The food and service are always top notch. The owner Jimmie turned us on to our now favorite wine, A. Rafanelli Zin. We even went to the winery in Sonoma County. We were recently in Colorado and met a couple from Clayton who said the Crossing was their favorite restaurant, what a small world.
Simply wonderful. I can't remember the last time I dined out at a restaurant and enjoyed everything I ordered. Nothing was over prepared with excessive, unnecessary ingredients. The food was prepared simply, but the flavor was outstanding and nothing was under/over done. Even the shrimp scampi, which was prepared with small shrimp, was cooked to the perfect temperature. I was there with a group of 7 and everyone one felt the same. I don't know what they did to the spinach that was served with the talapia, but it was fabulous. The pre fix dinner was $42 and worth every penny. I can't believe this retaurant has been there and I didn't know it. I will definetely be back soon. Keep up the good work!
Kept secret. Not only a great place for dinner, but a great place to sneak downstairs and have some drinks while listening to music. Large enough room that you can still talk with the band.
Best Fine Dining in Town. The Simple food is amazing, take a risk and try anything you will not be let down. It is a perfect balance of simple yet elegant. I won't miss a special event without dining at The Crossing. Try the beet salad it just works. Also the seafood is tops.
Clayton mainstay boasts exceptional New American cuisine in charming surroundings..
In Short
The Crossing offers relaxed service and a comfortable atmosphere to local couples and businesspeople. Alaskan halibut, Washington State oysters, Kansas beef, Arkansas rabbit, Hudson Valley foie gras and Maryland soft-shell crabs are just a few of the ingredients used to showcase the kitchen's culinary artistry. Pan-seared yellowfin tuna stands out among entrees. Ethereal dessert confections include all-American baked Granny Smith apples with caramel and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
Always Great. One of the best kept secrets in St. Louis Dining. The food is always fresh and of the highest quality. A great place for a nice dinner.
Stellar. Great food. Excellent service. This may be one of the best values in fine dining to be found in St. Louis. The food is always consistent and superb. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
