In Short
The Crossing offers relaxed service and a comfortable atmosphere to local couples and businesspeople. Alaskan halibut, Washington State oysters, Kansas beef, Arkansas rabbit, Hudson Valley foie gras and Maryland soft-shell crabs are just a few of the ingredients used to showcase the kitchen's culinary artistry. Pan-seared yellowfin tuna stands out among entrees. Ethereal dessert confections include all-American baked Granny Smith apples with caramel and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

I am a big fan of bread, and lunch time is a perfect time to visit the Crossing in Clayton. Prepare for an hour or more in a very relaxing environment. Try the rolls with your lunch they wont disappoint. Reservations not always required, and the owner is one of the main chefs.

My wife and travel to St Louis 2 times a year, we always have dinner here. The food and service are always top notch. The owner Jimmie turned us on to our now favorite wine, A. Rafanelli Zin. We even went to the winery in Sonoma County. We were recently in Colorado and met a couple from Clayton who said the Crossing was their favorite restaurant, what a small world.
