overall. i used to work here and i fully understan where these people are coming from the resturant is not somewhere i would go and pay that much for yeah the food is good most of the time but sometimes they do use food that would die under the heat lamp if they were busy or they might mess something up but usually they will take care of it if you talk to a manager about it but the way that people are that come to that resturant makes me sick so uptight and expect you to cater to their every need and then still only leave you 15% then the rewsturant isnt even that nice have you noticed the black linens that they roll the silverware in they all dont match some are greenish, some are greyish, some are even brown now how does that make them look not so good huh!! i would honestly never go to j bucks on a date or anything i dont care if someone payed me. and second of all i never had a complaint from any of my tables and i still go fired that is just crazy i really dont know what that was all about but i know that i can find any other serving job any where but overall the resturant is decesent and i do love the majority of the staff they are a great group of servers and they do try to please every one who walkes throught the doors of that resturant

Food was Delicious, Service was Great. My husband and I ate at this restaurant on a Monday afternoon and found the food to be delcious. There were a lot of menu options and our appetizer and entrees were very good. The service was great- we were surprised at how fast our food was ready. My only criticism is the price- seemed really expensive (my pasta was $17). However, I live in TN and perhaps food in general in St. Louis is this expensive. We will definitely return to this restaurant if we are in the area again. Good proximity to Busch Stadium and Scottrade Center.

Watch out for your girlfriend!. This place is a riot! It is jammed with all the geeks who make money but cant get a date to save their lives. When I go there with my girlfriend I cant even get up to use the bathroom without some greasy freak approaching her and trying to impress her with his business card. You can smell the spray on tans when you walk through the front door, and its not the women!!! The food is good but the drinks are pricey. There are about 10 greasy guys for every female in the joint and watch out for the 50 yr old divorced women on the prowl!!

Pretentious. I don't normally add my '2 cents'...but JBucks is the definition of pretentious. Don't got unless you are under 25, and wear the most fashionable.

This swank restaurant is all dressed up, but has no pretensions.. The Scene
A dazzling red arc of light traces the building's curved facade, underlining the restaurant's name. Glancing from the street through the towering plate-glass windows, you'll see a crescent-shaped bar, lit hazily from below. Small, brilliant blue lights are elegantly suspended above it on slender wires. The room is crowded with women in shimmering, black-sequined sheaths fawning over prosperous men with cell phones and winter tans.

The Food

Some diners might think the menu unimaginative, with its focus on the simple Midwestern food, but even seasoned diners can tire of unorthodox flavor combinations and fussy architectural presentations. The dishes may be familiar, but they're not dull. Filet mignon, for example, is blanketed with a woodsy mushroom ragout, roasted salmon is presented on a fragrant cedar plank, and barbecued baby back ribs are kicked up with sweet apple-jalape?o jelly.
