SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN – the first time I dined here, there was a roach in my drink. The bread was moldy. The waitress had a bad attitude. The salad was extremely spicy. lumpy ranch dressing! I saw the gray haired old woman eating fries off a plate then take it to the table outside. The second time i went to duffs i found hair in my food. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN FAST!
Minus Chicken=Same Price – Recently I patronized this business and felt at ease. Service was not terrible and I cannot say I hated everything. The mention I needed to make in this review was the pricing on vegetarian dishes. A few entrées offer no meat counterparts but no difference in price. This is highly unusual. It makes me re-consider going there. I also posted this review on cwedining. I found that site in google but it won't let me type the website here.
Neighborhood classic – Have been to Duffs on a number of occasions. There is always a diverse and interesting menu that changes a few times a year. They have early bird pricing if you come early that can't be beat. Plenty of dishes for the health conscious diner as well as a few classics. Low key ambience, inside and out, good for the family or more formal. HIghly recommended
Not dog friendly as they say---in fact staff are flat out unfriendly – We called ahead to find out if they were "dog friendly" and were told yes. We came early on a Friday night with our dog. We picked an outdoor table away from people and our dog was well behaved and quiet. He stood up when the waiter approached and the waiter jumped away in a very rude/offended manner. For the rest of our dinner we were treated as if we had done something wrong.
Food was ok, service was ok. Patrons and staff were pretentious. We won't go back. The Forest Park Boathouse brought our dog water and welcomed him---would rather go there when we bring our buddy out.
great food ---- great bar – My wife and I were waiting for a table outside but were to hungry so we headed into the bar. The bartender quickly greeted us and presented us with a copy of their extensive and very well priced wine list. We selected a bottle with the help of the young but knowledgable bartender. We were enjoying the company and atmosphere of the dim bar so much that we decided to skip the wait and eat at the bar. I had a lovely seafood pasta with a red bell pepper cream sauce that was the special and my wife decided to try the TKO filet. Her steak was a massive center cut tenderloin with melted asiago and horseradish served with carmalized onion jam. It was amazing and went quite well with our bartender's wine recomendation. The tiramisou for desert was a perfect end to the evening.

Duff's has been a popular Central West End destination for years, mainly because it has something for every appetite. Weekenders come back again and again for the restaurant's celebrated brunch.
Executive Chef Jim Voss has created an exceptional menu of international dishes that changes with the seasons. On a summer evening, try the sun-drenched Mediterranean sampler platter, which includes spinach feta strudel served with a puckery lemon yogurt sauce, garlicky baba ghanouj and tabbouleh, and toasted pita bread. A standout entree is coronettas de pollo, a dish similar to chicken enchiladas, served with black beans, a svelte avocado-tomatillo salsa and a dusky smoked jalape?o cream.

Everything with a twist – We were here for Sunday brunch. After parking around the block for $2, wait was 30 to 45 minutes in a very limited waiting area. The moderate-sized menu looked fairly ordinary, but every item had some variation on the traditional theme. Not English muffins, cinnamon English muffins. Not the usual eggs Benedict, eggs "Benedict" with choron sauce, etc. The coffee was great, although I wondered what was in the creamers, and the orange juice tasted fresh squeezed. Apart from that, be prepared for good but slightly unexpected food. Most people seemed to be there to see and be seen, so perhaps it doesn't matter what the food is like.
