Rossino's fan since 1974. As a starving student in St. Louis in 1974-75, I wound up living within 2 blocks of Rossino's. When I could afford to go out to eat, this is where I went. My friends were amazed back then, and my family still loves the place all these years later, though, living in Florida, we don't drop in often. It's still a romantic, charming little place - below street level in a quiet neighborhood - that most people haven't discovered yet. They taught me how to top certain Italian dishes with Provolone cheese and bake before serving. Mama Mia! I highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to go back. It's the real deal.

amazing. I agree with the last review; I don't see how anyone could not like this place. My parents took me to Rossino's when I was little and all through high school and now in college it has been my secret place for dates. It's a great date place because it's romantic enough, but not over the top, the atmosphere is unlike any other restaurant in st. louis, the food is amazing, and the price can't be beat. It also just might have the best st. louis style pizza.

How could you not completely love this place?. I'm writing this because it pained me greatly to see that anybody could bash this place like that other review. I respect their opinion, but let's face it, you are not going into the coolest basement restaurant in St Louis for white-glove service. You are going there because it is dark, and romantic, and really old, and the food is incredible and very very reasonably priced. I have three words for you: Nana Russo's Chicken. Never mind any of this; STAY AWAY, I want to keep this place my little secret...

User review by ralmary. We made reservations here for a friends birthday and the staff was so rude we left before we even ordered our food. Our waiter told us the kitchen closed in 30 minutes and we should call the rest of our party or order for them. Yet they took a reservation for 8 people at 8:30pm when the kitchen closed at 9:00pm. The waiter told us this at 8:35. When taking our drink order he asked "do you want something to drink?" As if it was a lot to ask!! I would never go there again!

Wow! What a cool place.. My parents have been taking me to this place since I was a little boy and it's always been a favorite. In fact, my father took my mother there on their very first date back in the sixties when they both were in college at St. Louis Univ. They have, in my opinion, the best pizza in St. Louis and the ambience is unbeatable for a romantic date setting. This place is a St. Louis institution that has all the charm and personality of a family run restaurant. Did anybody else's parents go on dates here? If so, write their story as I've already met two others with similar stories and I'm curious how many more are out there.
